Making a blog is the simplest step you’ll have to take. The job begins when you need to reach a large number of people, which you may do by promoting your blogs. Promoting blogs is not just sharing your blog’s link with family and friends and expecting to receive huge traffic. With such technological advancement, it will be a bummer if we don’t use it to our advantage.

1. Post data-driven content

Data-driven content helps you get the attention of the right audience. If you are not familiar with data-driven content, it is a content marketing strategy that takes an analytical approach by taking data from search engine rankings and page contents of competitors. Simply put, it is content that highly relies on insights from data.

2. SEO Optimization

Make your blog SEO-friendly by optimizing it and you will start seeing results in a matter of time. SEO-friendly blogs drive organic traffic to your website. SEO is more of an art, and you need to take care of some critical pointers while handling SEO for your blog to have the right ranking for your blog site.

3. Offer quality content

If you want readers to keep coming back, you have to give them a reason. Post quality content that would make them come to you, not your competitors. It would be a good idea to also implement a few cornerstone contents in your blog.

You need to pay close attention to the quality and contents of your cornerstone articles because search engines will weigh them heavily when evaluating the value that your website has to offer.

With high-quality cornerstone content, you can build a consistent funnel of traffic that then filters to your other content, and eventually, your products and services.

4. Use social media

We all know that now social media is not just for socializing, it is a great place to share your blogs and get the attention of the right audience. Social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc are good places to share your blogs.

5. Make your content shareable

People will want to share your blog if they like it and you have to make sure that they can. Check your website’s settings or add social media plugins to make it easy for them to share your content with their friends.

Many social media plugins enable you to display social icons in the sidebar, below the article, before the article, and so on. You must decide how you want them to appear on your blog site and whether the plugin supports that option.

One of the easiest ways to bring attention to your blog is guest posting on other sites. You will reach a whole different audience and those who are interested in your niche will visit your blog.

Along with your regular content, you can add video content to give a little personal touch. You can start a YouTube channel or simply add value to your blogs. The focus here is to keep readers engaged and give the new audience a reason to keep coming back.

8. Web forums

Web forums like Quora are another great place to promote your blog. By posting useful content, you can establish authority and it will also drive traffic to your blog.

Remember that you should have a strong author bio with a link to your blog. The main purpose of having an author bio on Quora is to introduce yourself to your Quora audience, so they can go through your Quora answers and eventually visit your blog site by clicking on your author bio link.

9. Reach out to Influencers

By reaching out to influencers of your niche, you can promote your blog and get a relevant audience. Before asking them to promote your blog, build a professional relationship with them. It might be beneficial to link to influencers’ blogs or social media sites in your blog posts because it can help you develop a relationship with them that you can nurture in the long run.

10. Use paid promotion tactics

Paid promos are the way to go for those looking for a solution to achieve their marketing goals while also boosting their content. You can utilize a variety of strategies and methods, including retargeting via email or WhatsApp broadcasts, Facebook advertisements, and so on.
