If you had told me a year ago that I’d be making daily affiliate commissions just by posting TikToks, I probably would've laughed and kept scrolling. But here we are in 2025, and TikTok isn’t just for dance trends and funny pets anymore—it’s a serious money-making platform if you know how to use it.

I’m not a marketing expert or a tech genius. In fact, I started with zero followers, no editing skills, and no clue what affiliate marketing even meant. But after a bit of trial and error, I figured out a simple formula that’s now bringing in commissions every single day.

So if you’re a beginner wondering if TikTok marketing is worth trying in 2025, let me tell you: absolutely. Let me walk you through how I did it—and how you can too.

Step 1: Pick a Product That Solves a Problem

The first mistake I made was promoting random stuff I didn’t care about. Big nope.

I eventually realized that the easiest way to make commissions is to promote a product that solves a real problem for a specific type of person. That way, your audience actually wants to know more—and you're not just pushing links.

Think about things like:

A fitness program for busy moms

A side hustle course for 9-5 workers

A tool that helps small creators grow faster

I personally started with a digital product that helped people make extra income online (because that’s what I was learning myself). I joined an affiliate program that gave me a unique link, and boom—I was in business.

Step 2: Make Short, Value-Packed Videos

You do not need fancy equipment. I used my phone, good lighting (aka a window), and some free editing apps like CapCut.

The key was to keep each video simple and focused on one helpful idea:

A quick tip I learned

A myth I busted

A mistake people make

A result I got (even a small one!)

TikTok loves authenticity. I didn’t try to act like an expert—I just shared my journey and what was working for me.

Also, I used captions, text on screen, and trending sounds to make my videos more engaging. Don't overthink it—just show up, be real, and give value.

Step 3: Add a Clear Call to Action

This part is huge. You can have the best videos ever, but if you don’t tell people what to do next, they’ll scroll away.

I added a simple CTA in my captions and sometimes said it at the end of my videos:

👉 “Want to learn how I did it? Link in bio.”

👉 “Free training in my profile if you're curious.”

Make sure your TikTok bio has a link to your affiliate product (you can use a link tool like Linktree or Beacons if you have multiple things to share).

What I Learned Along the Way

Here are a few quick lessons that made a big difference:

Post consistently – I started with 1–2 videos per day. Some flopped, some blew up.

Study what’s working – Watch creators in your niche. Don’t copy, but get inspired by what gets views.

Don’t wait to be “ready” – Your first videos will be rough. Mine were cringe. But you get better fast.

Respond to comments – Build real relationships. People buy from those they trust.

The Bottom Line

TikTok in 2025 is still wide open for creators who want to grow fast and make real money with affiliate marketing. You don’t need a big following. You don’t need to go viral every time. You just need to show up, provide value, and have the right offer.

I went from total newbie to making daily commissions—all by posting simple videos and using a proven system.
