Affiliate Marketing is basically a method of earning online in which you sell some products online to different people and in return, you get a per-sale commission. It is almost similar to those LIC agents selling various policies by reaching us and they get a fixed commission for every policy they sell.

Benefits of Affiliate Marketing:

Today Affiliate Marketing is one of the most used ways of online. There are multiple reasons why most bloggers today are choosing affiliate marketing as a method to monetize their blogs instead of monetizing them with Google Adsense or other Ad Networks.

Some of the reasons are:

1. Recurring Income/Commission:

The first reason it is most used is that it gives you recurring income once you do it. This means that no matter how old your post is if you have once written any post containing affiliate content and links. Whenever someone reads that post and buys the promoted product then you will make a commission, till the center and the product exists.

2. Higher Returns:

If you have a targeted audience on your blog, website or any social media account then affiliate marketing would definitely work for you.

Affiliate marketing provides you with higher rates of commission which are much more than the revenue earned by displaying the advertisements on the blog or website.

For example:

If your monthly goal of earning from your blog is approximately $1000, then it can take a much larger audience for this amount. As Google Adsense provides a CPM of $3-$4 per 1000 visitors thus as per this,

it would require an audience of 250K visitors on your blog for taking your monthly revenue to $1000.

On the other hand, if you monetize your blog with affiliate links and promote certain products to the

visitors who might have an interest in those products and fields, they might get converted into your customers and you may make large profits.

For example:

If you promote a product that would make you a commission of $10 per sale no matter what. If you have, 1000 visitors, on your blog. If 100 of them only buy the promoted product then your monthly goal is easily achieved.

3. Start with zero investment:

There are some affiliate programs that allow you to promote affiliate links on social media and make a commission. Unlike Amazon Associates, they do not require a website to promote products.

Thus you can start making an Affiliate commission quickly from your phone just by sharing those products on social media.

Steps to start Affiliate Marketing:

Starting affiliate marketing is not a very complicated thing but yes you have to follow certain steps to join an affiliate program that might be more targeted per the interest of your audience. Thus some of the steps to find, enroll and start earning affiliate commission.

Step 1: Finding your Blog Niche and Visitor's Intrest:

If you own a blog then you might have good knowledge about your blog's niche. You might also know that the audience of your blog is targeted i.e. they are those people who are interested in your blog niche only.

For example, if you write about cricket then the majority of your blog visitors are interested in reading about cricket.

Thus you have to promote those products which are related to cricket as selling cricket products to an audience interested in cricket is much easier and more profitable rather than selling technical gadgets to the audience.

Thus find the products according to your audience. The same concept applies to your Youtube channels and social media accounts.

Step 2:Finding an Affiliate Program:

After finding the type of products you want to promote now the next step is to find an affiliate program that provides the best products related to your blogging niche, good commission on the products, and also has universal payment methods available for withdrawal.

You can also find an affiliate program by searching on google in this way. "Niche" Affiliate Programs, where you have to enter your niche for example, "Cricket" Affiliate Programs.

Step 3:Getting Approved as an Affiliate:

After finding the right platform you need to sign up as an affiliate for the particular affiliate program you choose. The approval might take some steps.

Some affiliate programs require a personal website or blog for approval and some of them directly give you approval. Some websites also take online interviews for approval.

Step 4:Start Promoting and Start Earning:

The last step is to read the policies of the website and check that if the website allows you to promote the links on social media or not if is not allowed then your account may get banned and then all your earnings may be wasted.

That's it start promoting. Promote more earn more.
