A significant Windows 11 update is being rolled out to PC users on Tuesday,( Windows 11 Paint gets huge AI boost in today’s update. 5 other cool features coming ) a wide range of AI-focused features that are specifically designed to enhance and optimize your workflow. What sets this particular Windows 11 update apart and has generated significant buzz is the official debut of Copilot, an intelligent AI assistant that has successfully completed its testing phase and is now ready for wider public release. Let's delve into the five exciting new features that Windows 11 users will have the pleasure of experiencing with this update: 1. Paint is receiving a substantial AI upgrade. Microsoft is proud to announce that the beloved Paint app will now benefit from Copilot's intelligent AI capabilities. As an example, users will now be able to easily remove backgrounds from their creative works. Additionally, Microsoft is introducing layers to Paint, bringing the app closer to the functionality of other popular graphics editors. 2. Snipping Tool can now provide quick recipes based on food pictures. During the 2023 Microsoft Surface event, an impressive AI feature was showcased, utilizing the Snipping Tool to select photos of food on your PC. When prompted, Copilot will provide you with the recipes for these selected food items. Moreover, the enhanced Snipping Tool can be used to redact sensitive information from documents. 3. Embrace a password less experience. With the new Windows 11 update, PC users now have the option to go password less by utilizing passkeys. In essence, this allows you to use the same biometric authentication, such as fingerprint scanning or face unlock, that you employ for Windows Hello on your laptop to sign in to supported apps in Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers. This significantly enhances security and makes it harder for hackers to compromise your PC, as only you possess your unique fingerprint. 4. Simplify the search for photos. Often, we find ourselves in situations where we can't remember where we stored certain pictures from vacations taken years ago. Fortunately, with the enhanced Photos app in Windows 11, this predicament is a thing of the past. Now, you can simply type in keywords or objects you recall from your photos, such as "beach ball," and Microsoft's intelligent algorithms will diligently search your collection to find every photo containing the specified object. This ensures that you can easily locate and relive those cherished memories. 5. Windows Backup makes device transition hassle-free. Microsoft's new Windows Backup feature significantly reduces the frustration associated with transferring files, apps, settings, and credentials from your old PC to a new one. As long as you are logged in with your Microsoft account on both devices, you can effortlessly perform this transition via the cloud. Microsoft even offers 5GB of free cloud storage, but if you require more, you have the option to upgrade to a Microsoft 365 subscription.
