These activities release greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, trapping heat and causing the Earth's temperature to rise. This essay aims to provide an overview of the impacts of climate change on the planet, with a particular focus on sea level rise, changes in weather patterns, impacts on agriculture and biodiversity.

Rising Sea Levels :

Sea level rise is one of the most important impacts of climate change. As the Earth's temperature rises, the polar ice caps are melting, causing sea levels to rise, which could cause coastal flooding and threaten the existence of low-lying island nations. In addition, rising sea levels can result in saltwater entering freshwater sources, affecting agriculture and drinking water supplies. The loss of coastal ecosystems such as mangroves and coral reefs can also have a significant impact on biodiversity and disrupt the food chain.

Weather changes:

Climate change is also effecting weather patterns, leading to more frequent and severe extreme weather events such as heat waves, droughts and hurricanes. These events can cause significant economic damage, disrupt food supplies and result in the displacement of populations. In addition, changes in weather patterns can also affect biodiversity as species may not be able to adapt quickly enough to changing conditions.

Climate change is also having a significant impact on agriculture. Temperature changes, rainfall and extreme weather events can reduce yields and quality, leading to food shortages and higher prices. In addition, climate change can affect soil fertility, nutrient availability, and water availability, making it more difficult to maintain sustainable agricultural practices.
