I'm going to share with you some things that I wish I had known when I first started doing calisthenics. Had I been aware of these few things, I could have reached this level of fitness much sooner and advanced much more quickly if I had adhered to these small changes from the start. Therefore, whether you're new to calisthenics or not, you'll be far better off than I was when I first started, and you'll be achieving great success with calisthenics. The first thing I want to talk about with you guys is the fundamentals; if you follow the fundamentals and add high, high repetitions to them, you will have gained mastery over that fundamental. An indication of one's proficiency in pushing is the ability to perform 100 consecutive pushups. You're really proficient at pulling if you can perform 100 pull-ups in a succession. I honestly don't recall ever trying to do more than 25 repetitions when I first started, so it's crucial that you guys truly get the hang of these exercises and not just practice repetitions. Practicing pulling will help you become more proficient at using your muscles in unison, which will improve your pulling technique and enable you to perform increasingly difficult exercises. Pulling is not just about using your muscles and building strength to perform this motion. And to help you become more comfortable, get really, really high repetitions in your fundamentals. Pull-ups, push-ups, squats, and dips. Simply practicing holding a handstand against the wall is one of the fundamentals of other techniques, including the handstand. Many people make the mistake of wanting to jump straight to the next development when they first start out because they think they can handle it; instead, they should lay a strong foundation. If you truly concentrate on mastering the hold against the wall, you'll find that learning to handstand won't cause you any stress, allowing you to concentrate entirely on your form and technique. You'll also progress much more quickly than someone who is still having trouble just staying upright and on the ground because they didn't work hard enough on the fundamentals. flawless form in all of your endeavors. You're not attempting to simply do the workout; you will never succeed if that's all you're aiming for. You must be actively making an attempt to complete it as flawlessly as you can. Quality above quantity is the key in this situation. Starting with proper form from the beginning will make a big difference. I can tell you this because I've been there with shoddy pull-ups and have had to reprogram my training to start learning everything from scratch with perfect form. Furthermore, when you're putting in quality repetitions, you'll feel much stronger, which brings us to our third point: grip strength. Your grip is typically the first point of contact in each exercise. Strong grips naturally improve your strength overall, your ability to perform more repetitions, and your endurance. When I initially started doing calisthenics, I recall that it was incredibly tough to just hang onto the bar. I also remember that it hurt to learn how to hang with one arm. I remember that my arms were burning from that. Naturally, looking back, hanging out with one arm seems ridiculous. Thus, visualize the degree of strength and control you will acquire as you progress from struggling to hold on with two arms to being able to do so with ease using just one. This kind of strength will carry over to all of your activities, including handstands, hanging exercises, and lifting exercises. And that takes us to number four: by just strengthening your grip, you will boost your general endurance, repetitions, and performance. Negatives: By completing the unpleasant aspects of any activity, you will eventually achieve the positive aspects as well.
