Blogging or Vlogging: Which is Best in 2023?

There is always a debate whether blogging or vlogging. Even in 2023, the talks continue.

Both blogging and vlogging are the online business models followed by many individuals to make money online.

So, the debate is, when it comes to making money online in 2023, which is better, either blogging or vlogging?

Let’s discuss this story a little deeper.

What is Blogging?

Blogging is a process of publishing blog posts consistently to the blog targeting the different keywords related to the niche of the blog.

A niche is nothing but the subject you cover on your blog.

To start blogging in 2023, you need to register for a domain name, buy a web hosting account and install WordPress on your blog.

Even though there are other platforms like WordPress to try such as Weebly, Blogger, Wix, etc. WordPress is still the better and user-friendly blogging platform.

So, once you successfully set up your WordPress blog, you need to search for keywords related to your blog niche and then write blog posts around the keyword.

Likewise, you have to write a lot of blog posts on a frequent basis.

Promoting your Blog

When your blog reaches a decent number of blog posts, you have to promote the blog by sharing the blog post links to different social media websites.

So, obviously people started visiting your blog. Apart from promotions via social media channels, as a first priority, you have to focus on receiving organic traffic.

Organic traffic is a type of website traffic that receives straight from search engines like Google , Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckG, etc.

In order to drive users to your blog organically, you should follow the process called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

When your blog starts receiving traffic from search engines, probably, it does start to make money if you have monetized your blog with making money online methods.

You can apply for Adsense with your blog link, once Adsense approves your application, your blog will show a variety of advertisements to your viewers.

You will make money everytime people click an ad from your blog.

Another popular method is Affiliate Marketing. You can use your blog to promote affiliate products by writing blog posts like review posts, comparison posts, list posts, etc by adding your affiliate link into it.

Unlike Blogging, the setup process is actually too easy with vlogging. As YouTube is there to offer users to create free channels. So, you can use the YouTube platform to create your channel.

In blogging, you write blog posts and publish it on your blog, whereas in Vlogging, you have to create the same content in a video format and publish the same on your YouTube channel to receive views from audiences.

Once your video channel meets Youtube monetization policy, you will show ads on your videos and start making money.

Creating videos becomes easy as you can shoot with your mobile phone and use some free editing softwares to easily edit your videos and upload them on YouTube.

Process vice, Vlogging is a way easier than blogging. Still, both need a lot of effort to succeed and make money.

When it comes to investment, you can start vlogging just on the go but Blogging demands some investment.

Here is my final verdict on the question, which is better: either blogging or vlogging. I would say vlogging is better to start in 2023.

I mean blogging is not a bad choice, still, comparatively, when it comes to making money, vlogging is a way ahead of blogging.
