So shall we?

Sex ,

Lies

When it comes to lovemaking, there’s nothing sexier than trying something new. Spice things up this season! Say farewell to the bed in favor of one of these ten summer hotspots.

  • The Car. Take a ride to nowhere and just pull over for a little off-road action. You’ll need clothes you can easily slip on and off and a spot safely off the road and out of anyone else’s line of sight. When you’re done steaming up the windows, roll ‘em down and let the evening breeze cool things off.
  • The Beach. Bring your blanket and become one with the ocean. Pick a secluded spot behind a sand dune and far away from any evening passersby. The sound of the sea whooshing back and forth will be an instant aphrodisiac.
  • The Park Swings. Daytime is for picnicking in the park, but at night there are few other activities you can try. Bring your bug spray and keep it down—there could be one or two lingering kids around.
  • A Tent. If camping is on your summer to-do list, don’t forget to pack your sense of spontaneity. While you’re becoming one with nature, why not get a little closer to the one you love? Just be careful not to wake the bears.
  • Your Porch. An all-new sexual experience is waiting for you right at your front door. Wait until after dark and make sure the neighbors aren’t watching. If things get too hot outside you can always bring the fun back indoors.
  • The Jacuzzi. This one needs no introduction. It’s a signature sex location for summer. Have you checked it off your list?
  • On a Boat. You know that expression “don’t rock the boat”? It doesn’t apply here. Take out a private charter and enjoy a little love at sea.
  • On a Rooftop. You. Him. A starlit sky. Can’t you picture it? Nothing sounds more romantic than a little lovin’ beneath the clouds. Get away from the hum of the world down below and take your lovemaking to new heights.
  • An Exotic Vacation Locale. You’re on the most romantic trip ever, so why not make a memory you won't soon forget? Head to your hotel room balcony at sunset, a secluded lookout area, or a luscious rainforest and leave your inhibitions behind.
  • On the Field. There’s nothing like a little friendly game between lovers. Find a football field or baseball diamond near you and score!

From eco-friendly sexual wellness supplies to everyday wear these are all wonderful options to keep this summer's sexual ventures safe for both you and our planet earth too.

Let's approach the not-so-fun part of this article.

Lies.

What lies you may ask?

The lies our industries sell to us of course.

Greenwashing

The process of conveying a false impression or providing misleading information about how a company's products are more environmentally sound. Greenwashing is considered an unsubstantiated claim to deceive consumers into believing that a company's products are environmentally friendly.

Greenwashing in the Fashion Industry

Many fashion industry labels employ “green” and “ethical” marketing to target “conscious” consumers: H&M’s Conscious collection, made of organic cotton and recycled polyester; Puma’s biodegradable InCycle Collection; Adidas’ Design for Environment gear;; Zara’s eco-efficient stores; and the Gap’s P.A.C.E. program, to benefit the lives of female garment workers. Examples of alleged Greenwashing include the following: Take, for instance, H&M’s use of cotton. It’s the material H&M uses most and the company boasts that the non-profit Textile Exchange has recognized H&M as the world’s number-one user of organic cotton, which has a lighter environmental impact, and reduces the use of “probably” carcinogenic pesticides. But only 13.7% of the cotton H&M uses is organic.n 2014, Forever 21 was subject to claims of greenwashing. “Not only has the fast-fashion powerhouse announced plans to the largest single-rooftop solar-power system in Los Angeles County, it also unveiled a new 18,000-square-foot concept store that promises greater quantities and even deeper discounts on its already cut-price clothing. H&M launched a film campaign with actress Olivia Wilde to debut its new “Conscious Exclusive” collection for 2015 … yet in 2015, H&M will produce over 600 million new garments. That’s an increase of 50 million articles of clothing from 2011. It will expand its physical locations by 10 to 15 percent every year, requiring the use of energy-intensive resources. (Huffington Post).

Greenwashing In Beauty

What really makes a "natural" beauty product? Is it recycled, or recyclable packaging? Is it the promise of nothing artificial added? Or is it as little as a few flowers sketched onto the packaging? The organic and natural beauty market has been enjoying record highs: with the global natural beauty market set to hit $17 billion by 2024, and the global wellness market topping a staggering $3.2 trillion last year, it's no wonder that many brands are keen to pledge allegiance to all things green.

Yet, things are not always as they seem. "Generally speaking, natural and organic, are fairly unregulated terms," explained Georgia Barnes, business development manager for beauty and wellbeing at the Soil Association. "For example, a product just has to contain 1% organic ingredients, and you can call it organic! Even if it's loaded with pesticides in the other 99%."

The anti-greenwashing guide

1. Choose the COSMOS logo

A certification from COSMOS takes a lot of the legwork out of shopping for green beauty. The Soil Association update their list every year to account for new launches, and you can search for existing products on their website.

2. Investigate ingredients

Both the Soil Association and the Environmental Working Group in the U.S publish exhaustive lists of particular ingredients to avoid. They're also helpful to help you understand why a certain extract might be harmful, so you can make decisions for yourself.

3. Take care of your empties

It doesn't matter how brilliantly minimal and recyclable packaging is if you don't take the time to recycle it. Be sure to separate out glass, paper and cardboard accordingly to make the most of these materials.

4. Look for the leaping bunny

Another indicator of a product's ethical status is the 'Leaping Bunny' logo, which certifies a product has passed rigorous animal-cruelty checks.

It's Even In Our Food !

From the damage of palm oil causes and deforestation,to the lies from water bottle companies. Greenwashing is all up in your dinner plate.

Now for the part of the article, you came for,. I'm kidding we all know you came for the sex part and that parts over until the next article, but that's ok. Don't stop reading now.

If you’re choosing conventional beach toys instead of eco-friendly, the expense is your family’s health. The CPSC doesn’t regulate every phthalate in beach toys and allows some in small concentrations.

Toys for children above the age of twelve don’t require any third-party testing in the US. For children over six, the CPSC doesn’t test any toys for heavy metals (like lead) if they’re not meant for mouthing or ingestion.

Toxic chemicals in beach toys (and toys in general) are linked to several health effects. Phthalates soften plastics but disrupt hormones, and BPA is a hard clear plastic linked to cancers. There are other health effects of exposure to chemicals in beach toys not just for kids but pregnant and nursing women, too. BPA, PVC, and phthalates:

  • Mimic or block hormones
  • Lower sperm count
  • Birth defects
  • Link to miscarriage
  • Impact height and obesity levels
  • Testicular cancers
  • Delay motor skills

It’s hard to say what one exposure to a toxic toy does, but it’s highly likely that prolonged exposure every summer to chemicals in toys and sunscreen causes health issues.

The best environmental impact comes from toys without plastic. Toxic, conventional plastic beach toys break easily and are a mix of non-recyclable toxic plastics. They harm your family and the environment.

Unlike biodegradable plastics that break down in a few months or years, conventional plastics photodegrade. Sunlight breaks down the plastic parts into smaller pieces—a process that takes 600 years or more. Unfortunately, plankton mistake the plastic pieces as food and contaminate other marine animals further up the food chain.

The best eco-friendly beach toy is one that doesn’t end up in the landfill. Here’s the list.

Rubberwood: Plan Toys Beach and Sand Play Toys

Plan toys is a pioneer in safer toys for kids. This eco-friendly brand uses rubber trees to make sustainable and eco-friendly products. Their other toys, like the submarine and speed boat, double as both beach and water toys.

German Made: Spielstabil Bucket Mill 3 Piece Set and Sand Toys

Food safe and indestructible, Spielstabil beach toys will last a lifetime. ABS plastic is lead, PVC, BPA, and phthalate-free. These beach toys use no glue or chemical adhesives that break down in the sunlight. Instead, they are welded together. With a ten-year warranty and affordable price point, this beach set is a staple in our family.

Plastic-Free: Bella Luna Metal Sand Pail & Hand Tools Set

This European made steel set is an investment that will last forever. We use it to collect rocks and seashells at the beach and sticks on nature walks. Bella Luna is a small, woman-owned business that doesn’t sell plastic toys with a commitment to eco-friendly practices.

Recycled Milk Jugs: Green Toys Beach Set, Vehicles, and Tea Set

Made in the USA, Green Toys is the original 100% recycled toy. This brand uses milk jugs and yogurt cups to produce beach toys (and more) that exceed both US and EU safety standards. They’ve kept almost one hundred million milk jugs out of landfills with their eco-friendly mission.
