SERENDIPITY

The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way

In 2022 I am going to promote serendipity, connection, openness and inclusivity where-ever I go. With strangers in the park passing by. With cashiers at the local supermarket. With shop tenders. With old, young, challenged, family, friends, homeless, animals and any walk of life.

I have been spreading my fairy dust for years. I have always felt connected to the whole of humanity and therefore care about what happens on a global and individual level in my local community. It begins with immediate family and friends. How we treat those who love and accept us no matter what. I choose to care about how much someone else's life is going and their contentment and peace as much as my own and 2022 will be the same but with more self care. I say contentment and peace rather than happiness as happiness is something that comes and goes, however we can aim to have peace in our lives and a comfortability with ourselves all the time.

Just as being nice and being kind are different. Kindness should be employed all the time, even when imparting difficult things. Being nice is more of a politeness we have been taught. All the great people including Martin Luther King employed kindness at all times as much as they could.

I believe things are evolving. People are talking about subjects they never used to. The muck sitting on the bottom of the pond has to be stirred up so the water can be cleaned. Some just see the murkiness, some see what has to be done and some will not stop until the water is clean.

This year and forever more, I will give time, attention and dollars to various causes of my choice. There are so many. I begin with three for a year then shift to a different three as I believe in all causes. Mental health awareness such as Beyond Blue, Doctors without Borders, disadvantaged children, Endangered Species and Animal Welfare, Elderly Care and so many other worthy foundations. If we all tithed whatever we could, even $10 a month, the world would change. Yes we all struggle with finances and coping with life in general however we do have choices and more abundance than we realise and always have some capacity to give. 'Whether it's having that coffee at home twice a week instead of the cafe, whether you buy the prime piece of meat or settle for less, drop the pedicure for a month and ask a family member for a foot massage or get that treat once a fortnight instead of weekly. If you added it up you would be surprised at the dollars you have available. This can go to tithing to your choice of causes.

It's about perspective. When sitting on top of the mountain we see a 360 view. The person sitting on the west side halfway up may only see the town and doesn't believe the person sitting on the east side the mountain who sees the sea. Another on the north side disagrees and says there is only farmland. While another on the south side says there is only forest. We speak from where we have arrived and should remain open to others perspectives.

A beating heart, not colour, race, country, religion, beliefs, walks of life, professions or attitudes, should be the deciding factor of humanness, worthiness and deservability.

This is what I carry and share all the time, everywhere and for some reason people receive me. I remain humble and studious. I share whatever gems I am learning in life with EVERYONE I meet. This is contentment for me. This is a state of peace. Part of our health is being connected to other beings. Most people haven't got time to truly connect. It takes effort and awareness which sometimes needs a catastrophe to bring about, sometimes a little nudge, sometimes some therapy, sometimes just simply slowing down to actually see and feel. There is always something to DO so take time to just BE also.

Animals are a part of this earth. Living, breathing, responsive, instinctive beings. I have 2 horses, 1 old blind, deaf dog, 3 cats and a friendly snake. They all respond to my moods and kindness. They are always honest in their behaviour and responses to my being. They move when their body tells them to. They don't go against the grain of their instincts. They feel. They never lie.

Every day, everywhere is an opportunity to affect the world and the shape of society. To impart wisdom, to practice kindness. To be renewed. To make the world a more peaceful place. By processing our own dilemmas to a place of peace! Every dilemma is an opportunity to practice what we have learnt or want to achieve. To transform anger into assertiveness. Isolation into connection. Repression into expression. Despair into hope. And War into Peace !
