Max the MaCaw, had no chance when they swarmed him and his buddies. Having no idea of where he was heading and only wanting to stay where he felt free to fly and live with his family.

With a bag over his head, his wings clipped he was soon taken from the rainforests to only be let out in a cage.

He knew he had done no wrong, his family were nowhere around him. His first thought was of his wife Molly and their new babies.

For many years there were constant problems with snatchers in the wild, yet Max was determined never to be caught. When he flew for food he always went with his buddies. Now this, arrested and never to return. They had done the same to his dad and one sister, yet Max was always flying high and on alert for the other MaCaws.

Soon the forests would no longer have any MaCaws and many other animals. Between the snatchers and taking them and selling them and the poachers, the forest was starting to look desolate.

Perdu -Wild Thing- Pet Store

After the bag was taken off, Max was placed in a cage in a very rare place. He felt so frightened and afraid. He heard a guy named Perdu say I give you 5 thousand, yet it was 6 thousand or Max could not stay.

Wisely Max sat and made an observation of what was around him. Caged up were rabbits, cats , reptiles and small dogs and fish.

He knew he was given a life sentence if this was going to be his new home. His home was where his heart was with his Molly and the children.

It may have been called Wild Things, but there was nothing but criminal activity going on in that place. Wild reptiles that should never have been there, some of those cats and dogs looked like they needed to see a vet. This was one very terrible jail to be locked up in. No one even read him his rights.

As smart as Max could be, he learned the language. He would listen to customers and speak. Often it got the attention of potential buyers, but when he swore people would just walk away.

Perdu would get mad at him, take him off the perch and place him in the cage and lock it up. Later he would put a sign up saying please keep hands away from the MaCaw.

Max would stick his head through the bars, constantly telling people to call the cops. Call the cops, people looked concerned, the cage was dirty and not cleaned. The fact that he could barely walk made many ask questions.

Perdu always told Max he had it too good. Be quiet.

Madigan Rainforest

The home was in the Madigan Rainforest, many of those who stayed at resorts loved to see the Scarlett MaCaws. Max and Molly use to fly around th0se resorts for the tourists to take pictures of what it was like to visit.

Max at night, sitting in the cage would think of what home was like. The scent of the forest, the running water. Most of all what freedom was like and to be with his Molly and family.

Eventually, as days, months had gone by he was soon starting to forget. He even gained another MaCaw as a cellmate. Not much of a talker but a real squeaker.

Doing time for no crime met Max had his work cut out for him. He soon got the other MaCaw talking. Same stories, taken and locked up and sold.

Perdu was going to get in big trouble and Max and his new buddy Carl were going to find a way.

It Was Time

Max was really engaging in conversations with customers. Talking more now than ever. His best line was not good here, call the police.

A man about 54 came in and walked around and spoke to Max, he was very concerned about the conditions they had him in. The cage was not cleaned, he needed air to breathe and he gave Perdu his two cents. Those MaCaws are met to be free in the rainforests not caged up.

Where did you get them from? Perdu went silent.

He would not answer.

After the guy left, Perdu came and really cleaned out the cage. Left lots of food and before walking away he mumbled. You are both a real pain. Hope to get you both sold real fast.

Wow, Sirens Were Going Like Crazy.

Max kept saying, police going to get you. You better run.

Perdu opened every cage and ran out the back door.

The police come in and started looking for him. Max said that he had run out the back door. Run out the back door, run fast.

Finally - Cuff Him

Yes, justice to all. Perdu was going away for a very long time and so were all of the people involved in capturing the animals.

The police rounded up the animals and placed them in cages. The wildlife federation came in and went through a log of where every animal had come from.

Was Max Dreaming?

This ride was different, both Carl and Max were in really nice wide open cages and were on board a big plane.

Not knowing where they were going, yet they were both so happy to be released from the Wild Things Jail. There was lots of food, both were cleaned and a procedure was done on them to help them fly again.

The release was difficult, they both needed time to learn to fly. The other thing was the fear of not being able to fly.

Marg was not giving up. She worked with them and had them flying within days. Max really liked her but most of all he loved the trees, the scent and the running waters.

Carl was first to be released into the wild, close to the area he was captured. He did a big loop and he was gone.

Max kept telling Marg, your the best. Now, what do I do?

Where I am letting you off it is close to where you used to live. At first. you might not remember, but know you are free. We have this rainforest surrounded by security.

Max just kept on flying and at no time at all, he let out a big sound.

I am home Molly, what do you have for dinner?
