Civilization in the universe

As human beings, we are proud of our splendid civilization.

But as a member of the universe, human civilization is very fragile.

Man has no natural enemies on Earth

Our technology is limited in many places, such as the inability to land humans on Mars and the fact that human probes still haven't completely left the solar system.

This is because our civilization is so low in the universe that other civilizations are terrible for humans.

Types of civilization

Human civilization on the earth is indeed before no ancient "man", no later. If you think of the entire history of the Earth as 24 hours, humans were born in the last minutes, civilization in the last second, and technology in the last milliseconds.

However, humans are not omnipotent, we are trapped by energy, trapped by the earth's environment, even we are trapped by our own longevity.

However, the human mind is not trapped here, our feet can not reach the universe, our mind can.

As a result, humans have a rich imagination for other creatures in the universe.

Of course, this is not the fanciful imagination of scientists, but there is a basis.

In 1964, Kardashev, an astronomer of the former Soviet Union, put forward an epoch-spanning idea -- the cosmic civilization hierarchy.

All the science fiction we see today that mentions alien civilizations is based on his theory.

At that time, Kardashev divided the civilization of the universe into three grades and types, taking the human beings on Earth as an example to explain in detail.

Type I civilization: Humans control all the resources of the Earth, becoming the true masters of the earth, and can also dominate the Earth's satellites.

Obviously, humans have not reached this level, we use resources limited to the earth's crust, the earth's interior we have not reached.

Type II Civilization: Humans have access to the resources of the entire solar system and can travel freely throughout the solar system.

Type III Civilization: Humans can enjoy the resources of the entire galaxy, and their range of activities has spread to the galaxy.

Kardashev did not mention the extragalacean galaxy or the universe as a whole, and later astronomers added Type ⅳ and Type ⅴ civilizations to his base.

For humans, Type IV civilization is the ability to cross galaxies, which is often referred to as interstellar navigation, interstellar tourism.

Type V civilization, however, owns the whole universe. It is no exaggeration to say that type V civilization is the master of the universe!

The horrors of type V civilization

For Type V civilization, the universe has no limits, even it can decide the life or death of the lower level civilization.

If mankind reaches type ⅴ civilization, then we will become "gods" in the true sense.

The first is energy, the whole universe can be used for energy, including dark matter, dark energy, things we can't see right now.

Secondly, without the limitation of energy, there would naturally be no limitation of space, because humans of this level no longer take the distance of the universe in their eyes, after all, the whole universe is the home of type ⅴ civilized human beings.

For human beings of type ⅴ civilization, the light years of the universe would be like today's kilometers.

For space travel, type V civilizations can take three approaches.

The first was to travel faster than light, and at hundreds or thousands of times the speed of light, perhaps 92 billion light years back then, as easily as we travel 920 kilometers today.

Second, use wormholes. A wormhole is a spatial link that connects two Spaces.

If you have two wormholes at the edge of the universe that are in opposite directions, you could go from one end of the universe to the other.

With wormholes, it's possible to travel through space at a snail's speed without going faster than the speed of light.

The third is space folding. For type ⅴ civilizations, our universe is like a sponge that can contract and expand.

If that's too far, we can fold the space in half like a piece of paper.

When folded in half to a suitable distance, you can go through the entire space behind the stack.

Folding space doesn't have to go faster than light, either, so long as it folds close enough, ants can travel through space.

Finally, the human life span of type ⅴ civilization is no longer limited, the human mind can be embodied, and even the human body can no longer be used.

Then the multiplication of type V civilization no longer has anything to do with the body.

Thoughts can be passed around, if they need a body, they can create a body, and when they don't, they can leave the body at any time.

This is horrifying to modern humans, who are like toys in the eyes of type V civilizations, who can manipulate our bodies with their minds if they want to.

Collision of civilizations

In many movies, TV dramas and science fiction novels, alien civilizations are hostile to the Earth. They want to rob the earth's resources, enslave human beings on the Earth, and even make experiments on human beings.

So, when human civilization meets type V civilization, what terrible thing will happen?

The answer is that there won't be an interstellar war as we imagine, because the concept of war has long since disappeared for type V civilizations.

In the wars between humans and aliens in movies and TV dramas, both sides are actually in relatively low cosmic civilizations, which are still subject to many restrictions.

It is precisely because resources are limited that disputes and snatchings arise.

Ask, a civilization with the energy of the whole universe, it will look up to the earth's three melons and two dates?

It's like human civilization is still an immature child, while type V civilization is already an adult with everything.

The most powerful killer nuclear bomb in human civilization, in the eyes of type ⅴ civilization is firecrackers, an adult will grab children's firecrackers as their weapons?

Obviously, no, it just watches kids play.

But if the child took the firecracker and threw it at the adult, the consequences would be different.

The late physicist Stephen Hawking once advised against messing with aliens, especially highly civilized ones, because humans are no match for them.

In the case of type ⅴ civilizations, humans, the organisms that Type I civilizations have not reached, may have been created by them.

Type V civilizations can create new galaxies and civilizations. Many people believe that extraterrestrial civilizations have participated in the evolution of human beings. How else can we explain that human beings have mastered scientific knowledge in less than 300 years?

Human civilization soared

Based on Kardashev's hierarchy theory, physicist Michio Galai estimated the time it would take for humans to reach different levels of civilization by combining their energy needs.

In his opinion, the current level of human civilization has reached 0.728, which is a big step away from a true type I civilization, which may take 100 to 200 years.

The time needed for humans to go from Type I civilization to Type II civilization is about 1000 to 2000 years.

The time to reach type III civilization would be even longer, about 100,000 years.

Michio Galai believes that there are many reasons to limit the rise of human civilization, the most critical of which is energy.

The higher the level of civilization, the more energy is required. Based on the energy produced by the current energy sources, the human race cannot meet the minimum energy standard of Type I civilization -- 10 to the 16th watts.

The main source of human subsistence is fossil fuels, which evolved from ancient organisms in the Earth's crust and are limited in number.

If mankind wants to achieve type I civilization, fossil fuels alone will not be enough.

Most of the Earth's energy is under the crust, but that's where we can't get to.

When human breakthrough energy technology, is the human civilization level began to rise.

In addition to limiting human energy, longevity is also the key to the rapid rise of human civilization.

Knowledge cannot be inherited directly; it needs to be passed on. It takes a long time for a person to master science and technology from zero to number, often consuming about a quarter of the time.

If something goes wrong along the way, there is also the risk of simply being interrupted.

Some people will say that knowledge can be presented in the form of a book so that it can be passed down from generation to generation.

But books are not everything. Why else would there be a teacher?

After all, human civilization is created by human beings, and human beings are fundamental. If human beings overcome these two limitations, we may be able to touch the gate frame of cosmic civilization.
