Some plants have developed thorns, spines, or poisonous compounds to protect themselves from predators. Other plants have developed symbiotic relationships with pollinators or other organisms, allowing for efficient reproduction and nutrient acquisition.

The growth of plants can be influenced by human activities, such as agriculture and urbanization. Agricultural practices such as irrigation, fertilization, and pest control can affect plant growth and yield. Urbanization can lead to the loss of natural habitats and the introduction of invasive species, affecting the growth and survival of native plants.
