Leaving the city life for the laps of dear nature is no less some healing. When we observe the beautiful green and colorful spans of foliage holding sweet fawns grazing upon the freshness, we feel like staying there forever. But these sweet motherly instances are not the only thing that you might witness; if you are lucky, you can even be a part of that brutal head-to-head bison brawl.

If you live in the United States, anywhere near Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park is the nearest natural haven you can go to. Waterfalls, camping, hot springs, geysers, boating, birdwatching, fishing, animal watching, you name it and it’ll serve you with the same. If you are anytime planning to come out of your corporate hibernation, here are 10 animals to look for while you cherish this beauty.

Bison

These mighty creatures have been walking upon Earth since time unknown. These wooly-looking mammoth creatures are the trademark of American wildlife. America’s largest Bison population walks through Yellowstone. If you are here in August or September, you might witness a great herd of Bison walking forward in a sober fashion.

Elk

Elks are lovely-looking creatures that might remind anyone of some forgotten fantasy. They walk in big herds and could easily come before your eyes. These are reserved animals and could easily run away if you try to have a chat with them.

Wolves

If you have a binocular in your backpack, it is time to give it the opportunity to witness one of the most fascinating creatures on Earth. If you do not have a binocular, buy one from sites like eBay before you enter a national park. Yellowstone is committed to their protection and thus you might be able to witness a pack of wolves past September.

Black Bear

If you see a cinnamon-looking bear, you might actually be witnessing a black bear. Apart from being black, these also flaunt their bellies in brown, cinnamon, or blond. Summer and early winter is the time when they come out of their hibernation period and go into hyperphagia – a phase when they overeat (which humans always do).

Coyotes

These are sly-looking creatures with cautiously pointed ears, sleek muzzle, and thick bushy tails that sags. Consider them as a mix of a fox and a German shepherd. Washed in grayish brown, coyotes can be witnessed in meadows and open fields. In the evening, you might even hear them speaking some Martian language.

Moose

These dull and lazy-looking creatures are actually sluggish and sedentary. However, don’t take this as a hint that you can go closer to them. Moose can be quite aggressive at times. If you want to witness their sober look with huge flat antlers, go to nearby waterside or marshy areas from April till June. However, a few moose keep on wandering year-long.

Bighorn

If you love animals with a horny look, in an agamic way, then Bighorns must be in your mind’s list. These are wild sheep known for their mighty curled horns. They might be moving upwards from may onwards.

Grizzly

After Yellowstone’s pledge towards saving grizzlies, their number has stayed stable. These giant creatures are not to be messed with. They can weigh anywhere from 300-800 pounds and reach a height of 8 feet while standing on two feet. If you crave seeing mighty creatures, the best time is spring to autumn.

Cougar

Cougars, also known as puma, catamount, etc., are mountain lions that can be fatal at times. Although they are not known to attack humans, some 27 cases have been reported so far in the past century. They usually remain out of sight and can be witnessed only by experienced people. Go with your camera and photo tools and don’t forget to capture these in your beautiful camera or get one from

September and October offer pleasant off seasons when you can witness some of the wonders of Mother Nature. When planning, always go with proper clothing and equipment.
