Mysteries around us

  1. Look at 59, the Northern Urals, the night from February 1 to 2. A tour group consisting of Soviet students led by Igor Dyatlov died under mysterious circumstances. Despite the fact that the deaths of tourists or tour groups are not uncommon, the demise of Dyatlov’s group is particularly intriguing. Corpses were found scattered around the tent, some 100 meters away, with mutilated, charred bodies lacking eyes. All of this leaves the nature of the event inexplicable. There are numerous theories regarding the group's death: avalanche is one possibility, though the tent itself and its guy ropes were undisturbed, and their ski poles were not thrown into the snow. Infrasound, whether of natural or man-made origin, has been suggested, but this theory lacks confirmation. Ball lightning has also been considered. Conspiracy theories abound, including suggestions of military testing involving weapons like vacuum bombs or missiles equipped with sodium clouds. However, an exact version of the group's demise remains elusive. Nevertheless, 33 frames from the film of Yuri Krivonischenko, one of the group members, shed some light. According to one version, these frames were taken from inside the tent as someone looked out, capturing the group's final moments.
  2. Ships in the ocean were constantly disappearing. The invention of effective means of navigation and communication certainly helped. Nevertheless, in 1950, a certain journalist wrote an article about the disappearance of ships and planes in this area. By 1964, the location was given the name Bermuda Triangle, as the Bermuda Islands are considered one of the vertices of this figure. Air and watercraft in the triangle had been disappearing long before the article. However, the first notable case is the disappearance of a flight of five Avenger-type bombers on December 5, 1945. These planes took off from the base but did not return. The pilots mentioned strange water and white waves, which could have been fog behind the bombers. Rescue planes were sent out, and one of them also disappeared after these events. Several more ships and planes vanished. The most remarkable aspect is that the disappearances almost ceased by the 1990s. Theories abound, suggesting various explanations. Some propose it involves extraterrestrial activity, others blame the ancient inhabitants of Atlantis for the disappearances, while another theory posits a portal to a parallel world in the area. Scientists are attempting to explain these phenomena with theories involving methane locations or massive waves, theories as widespread as those regarding magnetic anomalies. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that there is something peculiar happening in that region.
  3. In the late sixties in northern California, San Francisco, there was still an unidentified serial killer under the pseudonym Zodiac who killed young people aged 17 to 29 years using a firearm or a knife. The distinctive feature of the unknown was letters and calls to police stations and the editors of major newspapers. These letters, among other things, contained cryptograms in which the Zodiac encrypted real information about himself. Only one of the four cryptograms was successfully deciphered by investigators; it revealed that he envisioned himself gathering an army of slaves to accompany him to paradise. The other three cryptograms remain undeciphered to this day. The phrase "black black" was mentioned, and employees simply did not pay attention to a white man who spoke to them near the crime scene. Later, the Zodiac wrote a letter expressing surprise at the perceived incompetence of the police. The identity of the criminal has not been revealed, and it is unknown whether he is alive or not.
  4. Various conspiracy theories attribute the existence of a secret world government to organizations ranging from the UN and G8 to the Illuminati and Freemasons. Though the specifics vary, the core concept involves creating a society based on a "golden billion" — the wealthiest and most powerful individuals, alongside roughly 1.5 billion others to maintain infrastructure, and the remainder as surplus population or "black slaves." Freemasons and Illuminati are often scapegoated for societal issues, with Freemasonry characterized as a religious organization and the Illuminati as more occult. Historically, in 16th-century Europe, a secretive government effectively controlled by the clergy held significant power and wealth, often surpassing that of entire nations. Today, whether such clandestine control persists remains a subject of debate.
  5. The intense secrecy surrounding certain military bases, notably Area 51 or "Dreamland," has spawned numerous conspiracy theories. The infamous Roswell incident supposedly involved the crash of an alien spaceship at Area 51, with purported autopsy footage adding to the intrigue. However, subsequent admissions revealed the footage was fabricated for financial gain. Rumors persist about the construction of flying saucers at Area 51, with the wildest claims attributing the incident to Stalin's involvement, suggesting manipulated events with deformed childlike aliens to incite mass panic in New York City.
