Twelve Days Unverified

Introduction

On June 29, 2026, we received a banner stating that changes were being implemented on the Vocal platform. Since then, there have been a lot of issues, and many seriious ones have still not been addressed.

As you can see, I cannot request a withdrawal because Vocal will not let me get verified to make a withdrawal. This is Vocal, not Stripe, where the problem lies.

I am thankful that I can publish works, and thank Vocal for getting some things fixed.

Users Unable To Log In Since The Change

Two of these are V+ users, so they are paying for the privilege of not being able to publish on Vocal.

I have only spoken with Alyson (not V+), and Michelle. Morgana made a post about issues, so she may be ok.

An Analogy

I don't normally write about my work, but I (with one other) administer a finance system for ten thousand users.

This week, the system started throwing random errors, meaning that people could not get paid.

We made sure that people with issues could contact them and responded directly, initially, that we were aware of the issues and were working on them.

We talked with system experts and tested a solution in a test environment.

We involved some of the people who have issues, who were happy to help because it showed them that we were working on the issues.

The second round of testing solved the issue late on Thursday.

On Friday, we moved the solution into production and got the users to test, which happened successfully.

We then got back to everyone who had raised a ticket for their issue and told them it was fixed, which they responded to positively.

Conclusion

It is because of the things that I deal with in my work that I sometimes get annoyed with Vocal. I know faults are difficult to deal with, and Vocal are dealing with a hundred times the number of users that we deal with (although there are only two of us).

So I am glad to see Vocal getting things back to normal, but they need to sort out Verification and users who are unable to publish.
