At the A24 logo: your eyes roll, mine light up. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe are weird, gross, old-timey men. They're perfect. It gets trippy; a love letter to Weird fiction. The end, an allusion, on the nose. Call me pretentious, it's right up my alley. I own the Blu-Ray.

Blind to the Sky
(Be warned: the image at the very bottom is a tad spooky. Scroll with caution.) Mama had called for the kids to come home for lunch twice already and it was time to fetch them herself. She wasn't angry. It was no wonder they would want to soak up every moment of this fabulous summer day. The air was warmed by a gleaming sun and gently agitated by a mild breeze. That breeze carried to her ears the squeals and giggles of her three boys rolling and tussling in the field.

Guardian Angel
Who believes in guardian angels? I am a believer for there have been many times that I have felt someone following me and there was no one there when I looked. There were a few times when I thought I seen someone who looked familiar but I knew it could not have been them for they were, for lack of a better word, DEAD. Guardian angels to me are angels that one may or may not see who seem to help make decisions or protect us from harm. One experience I had when swimming when I was younger and pushed off the dock into the creek for, I was little and did not know how to swim yet I felt like someone was pulling me up and over to the ladder.

LOVE THIS MOVIE. I did a review of it for a college newspaper class. I analyzed the shit out of it. A24 puts out fantastic films, and this one really shines. Weird--definitely an understatement. Near absurdism! Well done on 2nd place!

Congrats on placing, Rebekah! This was a fun take on a movie that I tried really, really hard to like haha. I'm a big A24 buff... but this one was just a little too weird for me to comfortably watch. ... but maybe I'm supposed to be uncomfortable while watching? Maybe I'll pop it in for a rerun this weekend and see if you've changed my mind at all :)

I did not care overmuch for this film, and I think I just don't vibe with A24, but I can 100% agree that it was beautifully done! A wonderfully made movie and I'm so happy it has a dedicated audience
