Death of a Salesman :A sobering reality
The classic and iconic play by Arthur Miller death of a salesman is one of my favorites and quite frankly I’m obsessed with the work. It is the story of Willie Loman a burnt out salesman who clings to his past dreams and glories and still believes his son Biff who is a general loser will one day become a success. Even though Arthur Miller had written this brilliant piece of literature many years ago it still holds up and somehow is truly relevant to the world and circumstances we find ourselves in today. I am not going to elaborate on what I am going to say next but I see myself in poor Willie Loman. I don’t know what made me think this but I thought for a long time that Willie Loman was suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

The Plot Emily is a somewhat stodgy museum conservator in Chicago. The opening scene finds her teaching what appears to be a group of art students about the finer aspects of Medieval sculptures. When discussing Sir Griffin De Beaufort (a knight from the 15th century) a student mused that maybe he disappeared with his bride-to-be.

Let me tell you a little story about a boy named Pete Davidson. Today he is known as one of the most popular comedians of the modern day as a major front runner on Saturday Night Live. He’s also co starred in major big screen hits like Trainwreck, The Suicide Squad and Fast X. But Pete Davidson’s life wasn’t always the party it is now. As a matter of fact, Pete Davidson’s upbringing was marred by tragedy. 13 years before Pete Davidson touched down in the land of Hollywood he lost his father Scott Davidson in the 9/11 attacks. In the year 2020, Pete and comedy filmmaker legend, Judd Apatow brought a story inspired by Pete’s life growing up in the aftermath of his father’s death in a new world known as post 9/11 titled “The King of Staten Island”.

X as in Madame. Top Story - September 2026.
Lana Turner excels as the sacrificial wife and mother in this superb hanky soaker, released in 1966. Madame X plays like a Sirk melodrama but they couldn't get the master to helm, so David Lowell Rich got the job and it's obvious he knew his way around a melodrama. The source material was a 1908 play that received a few cinematic versions, none as good as this one.
