'The Dead' is a youth novel written by Charlie Higson. I found this book in my grandnephew's old bedroom after he moved. This is a zombie story that covers the gambit of rich and poor. It is a story of adult zombies attacking kids after becoming infected. This is a story that Charlie Higson shows and tells how youth can overcome diversity in many ways. To me the scenes depicted are quite graphic at times. You can see the similarities to a television program known as 'The Living Dead' except with kids in the lead. It is a quick read and at times quite intriguing.

At times I am a reader of the Harlequin romance story. They are not always just about love and sex. This is the story of Marc Chambers and Rosa Santos and how they help each other in many ways. The main plot of this story is in how a community can come together to help one of its own.
