What about a Monday?
Writing a short series for the days of the week in Critique. Since this is the first day of week being a Monday why doesn't anyone really like this day. It could be that they really liked what they did on the weekend or that maybe there is something that they do not want to do or deal with at work. To me a Monday is a new start and one must look at in this way.

I worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years and I learned my skills to the best of my abilities. My strengths in the field lead me to geriatric care and more specifically in behavioral health care or what used to be known as 'the psych ward'. To me it was fun to a point, but there were times when I thought I had enough of being pinched, punched or just downright slapped just for trying to do my job to the best of my ability. Being a nurse is one that requires compassion to and for your fellow man and woman and show that you can see a person for who they are no matter what their issue(s) may be.

What does the word 'renewal' mean to you? The word 'renewal' to me means a chance to think and to better in whatever I am doing or plan to do in the future to make things better. I did this today when I changed my profile statement. Renewal means to make a change but keep learning.

Fearing that Iran would soon attack Israel, France advised its citizens not to travel to the region as truce talks to halt the six-month-old war continued. Locals in central Gaza reported hearing heavy Israeli fire on Friday, and tensions in the region spiked as Iran threatened retaliation for an attack in Syria earlier this month that claimed the lives of two Iranian generals. Fearing that Iran would soon attack Israel, France advised its citizens not to travel to the region as truce talks to halt the six-month-old war continued. In Nusrat, central Gaza, Mohammed al-Raye's, 61, told AFP that he escaped Israeli "air strikes and artillery shelling" during the course of the night. "It was all fire and destruction, with so many martyrs lying in the street," he stated. Laila Nasser, 40, another resident, said she heard "shells and missiles" all night long. Declaring that "they will do to Nusrat what they did to Khan Yunis," Nasser vowed to follow the majority of Gaza's people and escape to the southern city of Rafah. After months of battle, Israel withdrew its forces from the damaged city of Khan Yunis last week. However, officials indicated that they were getting ready to launch operations against Hamas operatives in Rafah, which is close to the Egyptian border. Numerous fresh airstrikes on Gaza's central region were reported by authorities on Friday, according to the coastal Palestinian territory ruled by Hamas. 25 persons were hospitalized in Deir al-Bablah city "as a result of an air strike on a house of the al-Tabatibi family," according to the Hamas media office.

Who is Jesus Christ?
Who is Jesus Christ? He is the risen one. He is the ultimate person who can help anyone. He was born of the Virgin Mary on Christmas. He was crucified and buried and then rose on Easter. He is the one leader for all use if we can only see it for it is the truth.

Here she was again, tears rolling down her cheeks, her eyes red, and puffy, and her voice hoarse from all the crying she had done over the last two nights. This bout of heartbreak was caused by the most recent man who had callously broken her heart. Unfortunately, this was not the first time a man had shattered her spirit and trust. The cycle of meeting a new suitor, falling head over heels in love, and then being crushed when things fell apart had become like a way of life for her - a painful routine she had convinced herself was the universe's way of preparing her for her future husband; that she was learning the nuances of love through hardship. “Am I a magnet for guys with serious issues? I'm like a moth to a flame when it comes to men with problems”, she cried out. As she wiped down her face a photograph she had taken with Brad during their vacation in Phuket caught her eye. She picked it up and at that moment the memories from that day started coming back to her.

Life is all about the choices we make. Some are good and some are bad. The choices will make affects you and even some family and friends that are around you. Your choices affect your personal and even your professional life. I remember a choice that I made to become a teacher, but ended up becoming a nurse instead, but really these were not bad choices for I used by education to become a teacher in my profession of a nurse. After 16 years of nursing and teaching I made a choice to become a writer and I am loving that choice for I am sharing what I know and learned in life. I am happy with the choices that I have made even though I am a single person for I am not lonely for I have many books that offer many friends old and new.

BLESSING COOLPublished about a month ago in CritiqueA Wedding
Went to a very special wedding today. It was my first grandnieces wedding day. She and her husband are perfect together. Their colors were white and shades of blue. This was a very traditional wedding from the throwing of the bouquet to the throwing of the garter. The wedding was an outside wedding and the weather was perfect. Sunny and mild even for Central Louisiana for it could have been humid or rainy or both, but it wasn't it was perfect.
