Old McScammer Has A Scam - A I A I 0

Introduction

The image above did make me laugh, and I wonder how many people believe this. I am not sure whether this should be in the Critque or Humor community, but I suppose the former, though anyone who believes the diatribe must be an idiot and deserve all they get.

Many years ago I published this story on Vocal as sort of clickbait. I was horrified when it became my most read Vocal story, gathering over a thousand reads in it's first week. As you can see it is still my third most read Vocal story:

While it had some good points, it seemed little different from the initial advert that I shared, but considerably slowed eventually, but earned me seven dollars from Vocal.

Some Observations On These Scams

I didn't foloow the link but it's usually pay us some money and we will tell you haw to use AI to generate a book an become the next Stephen King. The maths work, if you sell a hundred PDFs at $27 apiece then that's $2,700.

Who is going to pay $27 for an AI generated PDF? Only gullible idiots, byt then you look at MAGA in the USA and maybe that is their tarhgetted market.

On my blog Seven Days In, I get paid for pop up adverts, not much, and was surprised last month to get the first payment in eight years.

This month the robot visits have gone through the roof so to speak. Over 200,000 so far this month and 3.3 million since it started.

But this month, the earning are only £1.41

The thing is I use the blog to post observations on the main book I am reading, so any money that comes in requires virtually no effort from me, but I doubt I will get another payment this year. Vocal is far mor lucrative for me.

Imaginge if I got half a cent for each visit to my blog, that would be a thousand dollars so far this month.

So back to the initial premise the $27 PDF, with the implication that you could sell those and recieve the money immediately.

The payments for my Amazon books come in two months after the sale, so even if I was selling enough to live off, it's not an immediate return.

This is a free download till 25th September 2026, but if I were to sell a hundred hardbacks that would be £1,100 , but given that I feel lucky when I get a comment on a Vocal story, that is very unlikely.

Conclusion

Writing for me is a therapeutic hobby, and has managed to get my name known in some writing circles. Vocal has been my most lucrative publishing endeavour despite the issues, and I would still recommend it to anyone who feels they have something to say.
