Kubrick relentlessly showcases human horrors, however brutal,
Never turning the camera away once.
Internal fears of failure of a jelly donut hidden, to destroy a whole Marine outfit
External hatred of leaving a girl to die
Just because she was part of the enemy state
A world of shit, alive.

Awesome job!
Great review! Thank you thank you!
I'll have to watch this film. Sounds very Stanley Kubrick -- I will brace myself.
Fantastic!!! Remember this film and your critique is fantastic!!!
Great work at the mini critique Melissa. A memorable film!! I love Kubrick! ☺️
I've never watched this but your review was so powerful! Very well done!
Good choice and I like your interpretation.
Wow, it's been a long time since I saw this movie. Sobering review.
One of the greatest war films ever made. Thanks for this!
Gosh, this one brings me back to when I was a poor college kid with no cable and about 8 DVDs constantly on repeat playing on a 19-inch TV. Great critique.
