Been away for a while reading many books and reviewing them. Never seems to be enough time in the day. So, one of the first books I read was the complete and unabridged 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. Who has read any of the other versions of this book for school or just interested in the history of the time. I have read many versions of this book that I could find, and I found this version of this 'autobiography' at a local bookstore on the bargain table and something told to buy. This version has each entry that Anne writes starting with 'Dear Kitty' for Anne wanted it to seem as if she were writing and talking to a friend. This is a diary of a young girl that had to grow up too fast and to try and understand all the changes that she was starting to notice about herself and all the others around her. Who really can understand these happenings along with what happening in the world at their time of living life.

Catching Up!?
Catching Up to me means-- reading and reviewing several books that I have received and read, and due to the holidays, having a stomach virus with fever and a bad cold on top of that it was hard to keep up with the writing. Also, I have been having internet and computer issues as well. I have finished reading many books that I reviewed and writing in my notebooks my outlines. I have finished 98% of my household chores inside and outside, but the winds lately keep blowing leaves into piles to clean up.

Doctor Who: Fans Not Happy.
Doctor Who is either something you like or not. If you don't like it then you will never really understand the stories. If you like it in sci-fi terms its been the best thing since sliced bread (although some Trekkies might disagree). The Doctor with two hearts is a time-space travelling alien. His race is humanoid and their home world is the planet Gallifrey. The Time Lords the Doctor's people, are masters of space and time, hence their name. The Doctor though when it comes to his people has always been a bit of a maverick and loner. Much, to the displeasure of his people. His greatest enemy known as 'The Master' is also a renegade Time Lord who as opposed to the Doctor goes around the universe causing nothing but mayhem. Two of the Doctor's greatest enemies are the Cybermen and the Daleks.

A Flower Song
Apparently the Aztecs, Toltecs, Chichimecs and other Mexica were crazy about poetry. Despite the book-burning, slaughter, and epidemics that characterized the early stages of the Spanish conquest of the empires of Mexico, some hundreds of poems from the height of their tradition come down to us in Classical Nahuatl, preserved by Nahua and Spanish scholars of the 16th century. One of the most famous poets, Nezahualcoyotl, was a sage-king who opposed the cult of human sacrifice associated with Tezcatlipoca, God of the Smoking Mirror, and favored Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. Flowers and feathers were the favorite offering of the Plumed Serpent. Moreover, flowers and feathers are a metaphor for poetry. Individual words, scattered petals, the down of tropical birds. The temples of blood sacrifice could be transformed into temples of flower and song. A sublimated offering to the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Sky encapsulated in the Classical Nahuatl kenning for poetry: in xōchitl in cuīcatl, meaning, "the flower and the song."
