A Sort Of Side Hustle

Introduction

My blog Seven Days In has been going for over twenty years and is a designer mess, but I just use it as a diary. In twenty years, I have probably made about a hundred pounds from Google, Amazon and other sources, and in the middle of last year, my Google account was sitting at forty pounds, and the minimum payout is sixty pounds.

I thought it was going to sit at forty pounds forever, and didn't expect that to ever be paid.

I know the blog looks terrible, but it is fine as a diary, and it has served as a source for some of my Vocal posts. My first ever Vocal post was a straight lift from the blog:

But since adding Adsense the money has started coming in.

I don't expect you to be impressed

Adding Adsense

This year, AdSense has been adding £2 a month to the account, so in a few months, I am expecting a £60 payout and maybe more payouts every two or three years.

I get thousands of visits a day (all bots, I expect), although sometimes they drop off, but they do generate money.

I hate the concept of Side Hustles and the Gig Economy but if people want to do that, then hopefully that is their choice.

Conclusion

This blog gets the visits because it is so old, and I still add four or five posts a month, which I believe keeps the bots coming and generating the ond pennies via AdSense.
