Trust: The Foundation of Life
Trust: The Foundation of Life Trust is the essence of life. Without it, relationships, society, and even one's identity lose their significance. Trust is the foundation upon which we build our connections with people, circumstances, and even fate. Where trust exists, relationships grow stronger, dreams find the courage to take flight, and struggles gain a direction toward resolution.

The Silent Thief: A Reflection on Time
The Silent Thief: A Reflection on TimeTime is the one thing we all have, yet none of us truly own. It is constant, unyielding, and indifferent to our hopes and fears. We measure our lives in seconds, minutes, hours—milestones that mark our existence—but in reality, time flows beyond our control. And while we chase it, beg for it, or wish it away, it always slips through our fingers, a silent thief we cannot outrun. When I was younger, I thought time was infinite. Days stretched on endlessly, summers felt eternal, and the concept of running out of time seemed like a distant whisper. But as I grew older, I began to feel its weight. Time started to shrink, compressing into fleeting moments that disappeared before I could hold on to them.Have you ever watched the clock and felt its rhythm sync with your heartbeat? Tick. Tock. A second passes, and another, until you realize those seconds are pieces of your life, falling away into a void you can never reach again. It’s terrifying and beautiful, isn’t it? How something so intangible governs everything we do.Time is both a healer and a tormentor. It dulls the sharp edges of pain, allowing us to move forward, yet it also widens the chasm of loss, separating us from people and places we can no longer touch. I think of the people I’ve lost, the conversations I should have had, the embraces I should have lingered in. But time does not grant second chances—it simply moves forward, indifferent to the what-ifs and the regrets. What makes time so powerful is its duality. It can be generous, giving us years to build dreams, to love, to learn. But it can also be cruel, cutting those years short in an instant. It has no loyalties, no biases. It gives and takes without explanation, and we are left to make sense of the aftermath. There’s a certain irony in how we treat time. We spend so much of it wishing for more. More hours in a day. More years to live. Yet, we squander the moments we’re given, thinking there will always be more. We wait for the perfect time to take risks, to say “I love you,” to forgive, to chase our dreams. But time is not waiting for us. Perhaps we’ve misunderstood its purpose. The truth is, time is not our enemy, though it often feels like it. Time is a reminder. A reminder that life is fragile, fleeting, and precious. Therefore, every moment is an opportunity to live, to feel, to grow.I often wonder what I would do if I could hold time in my hands, if I could pause it, rewind it, or stretch it out. But perhaps the beauty of time lies in its impermanence. If every moment lasted forever, would it still mean as much? One memory comes to mind often. I was sitting on a park bench, watching an elderly couple walk hand in hand. Their pace was slow, their steps measured, but there was something about them that caught my attention. They weren’t in a rush. It was as if they knew the secret—time doesn’t need to be chased; it needs to be cherished. It made me realize how much of my life I’ve spent running. Running toward goals, running from fears, and running out of time. Life felt like a labyrinth, with twisting paths and dead ends that left me lost in the chaos. But watching that couple taught me to slow down, to breathe, and to appreciate the now.So, I try to live with a new awareness of time. I savor the quiet mornings when the world is still waking up. I listen more closely to the voices of loved ones. I let the sun warm my face a little longer. Because one day, time will take me too, as it takes us all. And when that day comes, I want to know that I spent my time living—not just existing.Time is a mystery we’ll never solve, a force we’ll never conquer. But perhaps the answer is not to fight it, but to embrace it. To make peace with its fleeting nature and to treasure the gift it gives us: the present. And as I sit here, writing these words, I can feel time moving again. Tick. Tock. A reminder to make this moment count before it’s gone. Life, after all, is not measured by how much time we have but by how we choose to spend it.

How I Married My Best Friend's Girlfriend
We all went to high school together and were just normal kids. They started dating in grade 10 when we were about 16. As we grew up, he just… didn’t. He turned into a mopey user who never held down a job. His hand was always out for anything offered to him, yet he kept meticulous track of every cigarette he ever gave someone, just in case his dad bought him a pack or something.

The Immutable Law of Karma
The Immutable Law of Karma Karma forms the foundation of life itself. Every action we take—whether deliberate or unintentional—becomes part of the intricate web of karma. Unlike legal justice delivered in courtrooms, karma operates within the sacred chambers of our conscience and the infinite balance of the universe.

Togetherness
Introduction In August 2023 I decided to make the effort to take out my sister Yvonne for a Birthday lunch in Preston. We made plans to meet and all was going well until a derailment at Carlisle meant that all trains going south were cancelled. I had to turn around and had to head home to Newcastle and we decided to try and reschedule.

Letter of gratitude
My dear and wonderful dad I wish I’d had the chance to tell you everything I’m about to tell you, face to face. But then again…maybe in life, we always end up taking for granted the time we have left at our disposal. We tend to think there’s always going to be more of it and so these sorts of things are left for the next day…and then the next… and so on and so forth. It’s also possible I didn’t tell you these things face to face because in doing so, we would’ve had to admit that we were running out of time. And if we had ever done that…well…we would’ve come undone and you and I both know that to be true.

Dear Hodgy
Dear Ashlyn Nora-Sue Hodges aka Hodgy, Of course I was gonna call you by your full government. That’s just how we roll. I call you by your full name because you always call me by my full name. These are just some of the little puns we throw at each other, but it’s all out of love and one of the many reasons I am grateful for you.

A letter to Brandon
Dear Brandon, I honestly don’t know how I’m gonna start this letter, so I’m just gonna wing it. So me and you have a common person, Peggy. It was a little over a year ago when my adoptive mother first introduced me to you. She had just been through a big new shift in her life and you ended up being part of that shift. I’ll never forget the day she first told me about you.

Live a Stress-Free Life and Enjoy Every Moment!
Live a Stress-Free Life and Enjoy Every Moment! In today’s fast-paced world, everyone seems to be running after something — some chase success, some pursue wealth, while others yearn for love and acceptance. Amidst this constant rush, we often forget one crucial thing: to look at ourselves, understand our needs, and live for ourselves. Life is a unique gift given by nature, so why should we let it be affected by what others say or do? 1. Understanding Different Perspectives: We often experience that no matter how good we behave or how honest we are, some people will always think negatively about us. Why does this happen? It's because our way of thinking, our perspective, is different from theirs. This is entirely natural. Each person's feelings, thoughts, and experiences are unique. For instance, think about a person who greets you warmly in the morning but ignores you by evening because someone else has influenced their thoughts. Is this your fault? No, it's a limitation of their thinking. The same goes for how people interpret situations differently based on their own experiences. Example: Consider a glass filled halfway with water. One person sees it as half-full, while another sees it as half-empty. The glass is the same, but the perspective changes the experience. 2. Learning from the Divine: Let’s think about God for a moment. Despite being the source of inspiration and support for everyone, many people still get angry at God when things don’t go their way. If we can get upset with a divine being, how can we expect everyone to understand or agree with us all the time? When others speak negatively about us, should we stress over it? Not at all. Instead, we should continue to speak kindly about them, because at the end of the day, our words and actions define us, not others' opinions. Example: Even the sun, which provides light and warmth to the whole world, is not loved by everyone. Some complain about its heat, while others bask in its warmth. The sun doesn’t change its course based on people's opinions; it simply does its job. 3. Embrace Yourself, Avoid Comparisons: Comparing your life to someone else's and feeling unhappy is an injustice to yourself. A calm mind and a warm heart can bring a tremendous change in life. Just like a hot iron removes wrinkles from clothes, our calm and positive thoughts can iron out the stress, worries, and sadness from our lives. Hence, maintaining inner peace is the real art of living. Example: When a bird perches on a tree branch, it doesn't worry about the branch breaking because its trust lies in its own wings, not the branch. Similarly, we should place our trust in our abilities rather than external factors. 4. Focus on Positivity, Ignore Negativity: Don’t let others' negativity make your life miserable. Instead, try to help others, spread happiness, and do good deeds. Remember, your clear speech, honesty, and appreciation of others' good qualities will brighten your personality. Example: Imagine a rose in a garden full of thorns. It still blooms beautifully despite the thorns around it. The rose doesn’t get bothered by its surroundings; it simply focuses on blooming and spreading its fragrance. 5. Don’t Dwell on Others' Reactions: If someone gets upset with you, doesn’t appreciate you, or fails to communicate well, don’t hold onto it. It’s a waste of time and energy. Don’t let the world’s behaviour affect your life. Instead, be true to yourself, honest in your thoughts and actions, and live according to your values. Example: When a storm hits, the mighty oak tree may bend, but it doesn’t break. It stands firm and waits for the storm to pass. Similarly, we should remain firm in our values and not be swayed by temporary troubles. 6. Enjoy Life Without Stress: So, let’s not take unnecessary tension and live life fearlessly and joyfully. Let’s enjoy every moment and keep smiling because your smile can make the world a better place. Example: A child playing in the rain doesn’t worry about getting wet or catching a cold. They just enjoy the moment, living freely without stress. We can learn a lot from this innocence — to live in the present and cherish every moment. In Conclusion: Be happy, keep smiling, and live freely! The world will continue to act according to its own whims, but you can choose your own path. Live life fully, with discipline and joy. Remember, your smile holds the power to brighten not only your day but also the lives of those around you. Final Note: Keep smiling, stay happy, and live without fear. This is the essence of a stress-free and fulfilling life. Example: Think of a sunflower; it always turns towards the sun, focusing on the light and positivity, no matter where it is planted. In the same way, we should focus on the positive aspects of life and keep moving towards our goals without worrying about the shadows of negativity. So, let’s make a promise today: No matter what comes our way, we will not take unnecessary tension but instead embrace life with open arms and a big smile. Let's live a stress-free life and enjoy every beautiful moment!
