The Master of Masks
I always knew something was off. Not because they slipped up, not because I caught them in a lie, but because something in their eyes didn’t match their words. There was always a little too much performance in their pain, a little too much rehearsal in their regret. But I said nothing. I chose to stay quiet, to watch, to wait.

people who have nearly no close friends or family to lean on usually display these habits without realizing it
In today’s hyper-connected world, loneliness is a growing epidemic that often goes unnoticed. Not everyone who appears fine on the surface is truly okay inside. Some individuals have little to no emotional support—no close friends to confide in, no family members to rely on. And while they may function "normally" in society, they often display subtle, unconscious habits that point to a deeper lack of connection and support. These behaviors are not always easy to spot—even the people exhibiting them may be unaware.

"The Last Voice Note"
I never meant to send it. I had recorded the voice note out of frustration, anger… maybe even desperation. It was past midnight, and I hadn’t heard from Arman in over three days. We weren’t officially broken up, but the silence said everything.

10 Blatantly Sexist Remarks About Women Made by a Man
Anyone can be sexist — men, women, and people of other genders. Discrimination isn’t limited to one group. It’s horrible, disgusting, annoying, and very unfair. Unfortunately, this is something we have to encounter once in a while, because people suck. There it is, one of the most straightforward pieces of wisdom I can share with others: humans suck. Pardon my lack of scientific terminology.

The Letter She Never Read
When we bought the house, it was more of a ruin than a residence. The real estate agent called it “charmingly historic.” My wife, always the dreamer, called it “full of potential.” I called it a money pit. It was late one night in the lab when a physician from the emergency room came over. She had taken a couple of samples from a patient and wanted to read her own slides. We call it a wet mount when you read slides right after they’re collected. But this particular physician forgot one crucial step.

I am as chalant as it gets
Oh, act like you don't care! Don't show emotions or else you will be deemed uncool, don't smile too loud, be silent about your victories, don't be so passionate about the things you love, don't text first, don't reach out first, play hard to get- oh, and the list goes on. The new trend of being the mysterious black cat is the propaganda I am not falling for, don't get me wrong, it is not something I am against or hold my grudge against. I truly believe if you are authentically like that, there is nothing wrong with being that way, but for all the ones who actually are yappers and the ones who fill the room with love and light, this trend just invalidates their existence.
