Sports aren't just some games people watch for enjoyment. It is also a considerable business with lots of impact on the world and economy. The sports industry creates new jobs daily and increases the amount of tourism and money they make every single day. Sports create economic growth in communities and bring them back to life, and here, Frank Tusieseiana will show how sports do just that.

Creating Jobs:

When sports come into communities, they create a ton of jobs not only on the team itself but also throughout the team and stadium. Stadiums need staff to be able to run, whether that's cleaning, retail, food, security, or management. Within the team, there are people working behind the scenes making things happen, such as marketing, coaches, and even administrative jobs. In turn, this decreases unemployment and can make areas grow economically just from jobs alone.

Tourism:

When games come, the people come with them as well. Some people will travel far to be able to see their favorite team play, which, in that case, people will need hotels, rental cars, and dining as well. This increases the tourism of the area where the stadium is, causing a spike in businesses in the area when there is a game. When stadiums throw special events, this can cause even more people to come into the area to increase revenue for businesses surrounding.

Local Businesses:

Most of the time, when sports stadiums are in an area, they will create partnerships and sponsorships with some of the local businesses. There is a benefit for both sides as the small businesses get exposure and marketing, and the stadium shows how much they care about their community. This way, growth is happening on both sides of the team.

Infrastructure:

When building a stadium it needs lots of investment in the building process. When the investments come in, infrastructure development goes up. In the surrounding area, things like the roads, parking, and transportation also get revamped to be able to access the stadium more efficiently, which helps the community and the property value.

Brand Exposure:

A city that no one barely knows or has heard of before can be put on the map with a new stadium in town. Once the area starts to get that exposure, more people will want to live there and start businesses there, and investors will see the potential for more.

Community Involvement:

Most sports franchises will become involved in the community they are in and also involve themselves in philanthropy endeavors as well. This can include supporting local charities and groups and having educational initiatives. This fosters a sense of community throughout and helps bring people together.

Sports may not look like much to some people, but behind closed doors, there is so much more than what meets the eye—creating economic growth throughout the community and city to be able to bring value to an area that may not have seen much traffic before. Local businesses can have ongoing business and partnerships with sports franchises to help each other. No matter if it's professional or college, the benefit it has is detrimental.
