To perfect your soccer skills, you have to dedicate time to your craft alone. This time can be used to exercise your skills, better your knowledge of the sport, and improve your athleticism.

As some of the best soccer drills you can practice at home, we have covered practices that will perfect your speed, agility, control, power, and concentration. From simply cone dribbling to wall passes and much more, we've got you covered when it comes to soccer drills at home.

Cone Dribbling

To start off our list of the best soccer drills you can practice at home, we had to begin with a basic drill, cone dribbling. With just a yard, a soccer ball, and some cones needed, you will place three cones in a line or triangle, about the feet apart.

Then, simply dribble the ball between the cones, allowing the surfaces of your feet to control the ball. Practice quick touches to the ball, and guide the ball around the cones in a pattern, with control, and speed.

Wall Passes

Wall passes, or wall juggling, is next on our list of the best soccer drills you can practice at home. A great way to practice juggling the ball as well as your strengthen your reflexes, this drill requires standing around one to three yards away from the wall.

To begin, throw the ball against the wall, and juggle the ball with your feet, feeding it back against the wall, and repeating this process until you cannot control it any longer. With practice and dedication to this drill, the difficulty will decrease.

25's Dribbling

25's dribbling will both condition and improve your dribbling skills. This cone drill includes lining up about six to 10 cones five yards apart. Then, weave the ball through the cones using the inside of your feet. Repeat this drill by alternating between the outside and inside of your feet. Circle right, then left, around the cones.

Or, if you are looking for a more simple approach, you will start at cone one, sprint to cone two with the ball, turn back and sprint to cone one, then to cone three, then to one, then to four, and so on. Take a minute of rest before beginning your next set.

One Touch Shooting

One touch shooting will allow you to get rid of the element of hesitation. Hesitation is what often will cause shots to be failed or missed, and practicing this will allow you to drive through with the shot in just one touch.

As one of the best soccer drills you can practice at home, you will practice completing a shot with just one touch. You must adjust not only your body, but your head and feet to manage this shot, and perfect it.

Headers

Headers are always a great thing to practice, even when you're at home and alone. A great way to practice this would be on goal, because believe it or not, 20 percent of goals are scored from headers at the top level. If not, just go back to the wall you've used for your wall passes. This will be treated very similarly to this drill, except using your head, of course.

Push-Pull

Push-pull is yet another one of the best soccer drills you can practice at home. Focusing on your dribbling skills, this is an exercise that will pinpoint the muscles in your foot that strengthen your dribbling.

A great practice to do at home, this can be done every day to see the best results, and you don't need anything but your feet. You will set your foot on the ball, and move it from your toe to heel to toe, hence the push-pull name. Switch your feet quickly, and do this 100 times!

Toe Taps or stair stepping is a drill that is incorporated into your routine to improve your balance and stamina. This is because you will put the ball in front of you, while you place your foot on top of the ball, and then off, switching between your feet like you're climbing up the stairs.

Sound easy? It's not. Once you get going, your balance and ball control will certainly be challenged. A great practice to do at home, improvise with it, and have some fun, it will benefit your game greatly.

Roll Out and Push In

Another great exercise that will change your dribbling game, roll out and push in is one of the best soccer drills you can practice at home. To start, set your foot on the ball, and roll the ball toward the outside of your foot.

You will slide the foot to the outside of the ball, and push it in towards your opposite foot. Then, repeat with speed! For the best results, you will do this 100 times, quickly.

Rollover Dribble

A rollover dribble will help you perfect your dribbling techniques. A great drill to practice at home, you will push the ball with the sole of your foot.

It's a simple action, but one that will perfect your balance and concentration. The rollover dribble should be done with at least 100 touches, each day. You will soon be able to turn the ball under defense with ease, despite the pressure from your opponents.

Shooting from Side

To complete our list of the best soccer drills you can practice at home, we're going to finish off with a shooting drill. Though this can certainly be done with a friend, it also works just as well by yourself; you just need a goal. So at your local field or school, practice shooting the ball from the side of the goal, rather than directly in front.

A great way to be practical about your shooting, this drill will help you to perfect your shot from anywhere on the field.
