Jenny ran through the busy streets of Elevens Town, keeping her head down so she didn't accidentally blow her cover

She had no time for accidents.

It was open market day, and the crowd was enormous which was making her job difficult. Still, she didn't have time to think about that now. She had to get to Leighton's Company Quarters, to check out what was going down there!

There was a story in the news last night warning people about shops that were selling their new make-up products. People who entered the shop were disappearing like flies.

Once inside the shop, they never came out.

Jenny knew that people were able to try free samples of the products in the shops; she also knew that Leighton's was offering shops a quarter of a million dollars to promote their products.

She had to find out why.

Jenny had tried finding Leighton's Quarters on the internet last night, but neither the map nor the search bar could locate it. She thought,

Maybe they were working in secret. After all, if they are putting chemicals in make-up to invent their mass killer product, they aren't going to want to be found.

Jenny kept her head down as she ran through the streets. She didn't have time to stop, but she knew that she would pee her pants if she didn't find a toilet soon. There wasn't one nearby, and she didn't have time to look.

Stopping to look could blow her whole cover and the case!

She was running down an alleyway that was covered by a thick hedge thicket. She found a gap that was almost unidentifiable and decided to toilet herself there.

BOOM!

A loud thunderous roar filled the air, just as Jenny started running again. She had heard that noise before, and just as she expected a huge cloud of black smoke bellowed around her, making her cough hard. Jenny could smell a pungent scent of strong perfume and powder in the chemical fountain that surrounded her. She could barely see through the smoke, but she had a feeling that she must be close to Leighton's Quarters. She fought her way out of the smoke and back into the streets where she could check the map on her phone.

"If I'm close by, maybe the satellite will pick up the location of Leighton's Quarters," she told herself.

She typed the name into the search bar, but to her frustration; the map did not pick it up.

"Damn!" she cried, slamming her phone in her pocket, then kicking the bin near her which caused people to stare. Jenny ignored their looks. She knew too well that acknowledging them caused people to become curious, which risked putting herself and everyone around her in danger.

She suddenly had a thought,

"Maybe Leighton's was using a different name for their base. Maybe 'Leighton's Quarters' was a cover name, some sort of screen name to stop them from being caught."

Jenny had been working on this case all day. Her skin had started burning, and she thought that she might have been contaminated by the chemicals, after having run through the thick chemical cloud earlier.

She decided to head home and detoxify herself with the sterile antidote her agent had given her, in case she became contaminated. She wasn't allowed to visit a hospital, because that would risk revealing her identity.

"I've been contaminated, Adrian," she told her agent on the phone.

"I've injected the antidote, but you will need to take over tonight until I get the all-clear," she continued.

Adrian acknowledged it, but Jenny was pissed now.

She really wanted to catch those bastards, but now it would have to wait until tomorrow.
