Introduction

The music is the second movement of Claude Debussy's "La Mer" ("The Sea"): "Jeux de vagues" ("Play of the Waves").

Sea Spirits

Watching the crests of waves on the sea, do you see a mermaid or a sea nymph, maybe a selkie? Blues and whtes, wtar and foam, complement each other and merge as the waves rise and fall, in a mjestic undulation.

Did you imagine the creatures you saw? Sometimes what you see is from a world other than the one we exist in.

When they are gone are they consorting with dolphins, or sleeping in Poseidon's undersea palaces?

Will they they ever share their marine secrets with us mere humans?

They ride the waves with joy and excitements, before leaving our vison to become part of someone else's dream.

When you see these beautiful creatures, treasure the moment, and that memory will stay with you for ever.

Mermaids. Sea Nymphs and Selkies are creatures of magic, and we meet them in our imagination.
