This novel is based on a true story. The telling of this story is not for revenge, but to offer an experience about Karma, and to protect the unwary from getting taken in by others.

The Story

After losing his job, David struggled to recover and find employment. Little did his wife Mel know that he had taken bribes to promote a supplier not approved by his employer. That new supplier was incapable of delivering on their promises, the company failed to complete orders and, as a result, after a difficult time went bankrupt.

Mel, after advice from a friend, decides to book an expensive cruise in order to change their fortunes and find a new business venture. They find an opportunity with Hugo, a successful businessman, who is a widower on board.

Hugo had made a success of the small interior design business by offering a bespoke service to property developers of excecutive homes. He was looking for a partner to join him in the business, but just as importantly to inject some much needed funds.

Mel is hesitant given David's track record on failed businesses, her full time career meant she couldn't keep a close eye on David and curb his cavalier attitude. An acquaintance from the past, who they encounter on board, indirectly leads them to a new destiny.

The story describes the luxury of cruising, and the interesting historic ports they visit on their trip to the Meditterean.

‘Dancing Into Love At Sea’ is based on a true story of a women who’s mantra is ‘Treat them mean, keep them keen.’ She treated her husband in a really mean way and cheated on him: He worked nights at the Ford factory in Southampton, UK, just to earn enough money to pay for all the lavish holidays she demanded. She ended the marriage because ‘he wasn’t good enough for her’.

I believe she had an inflated opinion of herself, she was very pretty and complained that she was his 'ornament'. However, it was clear to everyone that he loved her deeply.

By a twist of fate, he met someone else and they learned Ballroom Dancing at a time when Strictly Come Dancing was gaining popularity on Saturday evenings. They ended up teaching Ballroom Dancing on Cruise Ships sailing out of Southampton. The result was that he sailed around the world with all the attention he could ever want.

She went to work for the probation service dealing with criminals. She never admitted that she'd made a mistake, but her bitterness showed when she couldn't be happy for anyone else - I love stories about Karmic Justice.

Various parts of this book are from my own experience and the painful lessons I learned. If nothing else it has helped me to make peace with the past. The cruise wasn't without it's drama especially when the ship hit a violent storm in the Bay of Biscay.

Determined not to become bitter about other’s spitefulness and manipulations, it has been a very valuable lesson for me and hopefully for you, because life doesn't always turn out the way we have planned.

If you decided to buy the book, I thank you. I do hope it gives perspective and courage to follow your path in life and not to be destroyed by any one else’s agenda.
