Firebug: Ch. 36 - The Bunker
Theo's head was still spinning when a heavy canvas sack was shoved over it. Being thrust into total darkness without warning was absolutely disorienting, not to mention it nearly made him cack himself. Roman's muffled swear and the sounds of a struggle echoed from the other side of the theater; a clear indication he was given the same treatment. Naturally, Theo made a valiant attempt to remove the smelly sack from his person. His efforts were rewarded seconds later by hands - strong as iron and big as Christmas hams - pinning his arms behind his back.

Firebug: Ch. 35 - Phoenix
This was bad. Roman was outnumbered a hundred to one against a roomful of agitated, high-strung Pyros, and nowhere near the exit. His instincts battled it out tooth and claw within him, one set screaming at him to fight and the other to run. As a result, he was deadlocked in place. The room was only getting hotter by the second, and the rain falling heavier.

Firebug: Ch. 34 - Urgent Meeting
Rain pelted Nurse Flanagan's beat-up old Honda from all sides as it wound through the dark city streets. Roman knew the storm was his own doing, but he didn't have the presence of mind to stop it. He was too busy trying to organize the countless questions swirling around his head. Questions that the old bat hadn't bothered to answer in more than one syllable.

After scarfing down a few more sandwiches followed by a bottled coke Ed found Nightmare told me Ok maybe I like Ed a little as long as he keeps feeding me . "Thanks Ed" I told them. Deciding that I should have enough energy to stand I leapt off the counter. "I'm glad you're feeling better" he said. Suppressing a belch Nightmare asked me What is this feeling and why do I like it? I replied It's called 'being full', it's what you feel when you're no longer hungry. It's a good feeling that amplifies when you're with good company.

Sarah
Not wearing a scarf the night before left Sarah’s hair disheveled, and this time she sweated profusely. A tear rolled down her face, which she violently wiped away. The covers that comforted her in the night were a vast annoyance now. She violently ripped those away, too. Her feet finally made it to the floor as she sat with her head in her hands, trying to control her breathing. She hated mornings these days. She sat up slowly without opening her eyes. Instead, she inhaled the fresh air coming from her bedroom window; she forgot to close it. She exhaled, this time opening her eyes. She fixed her gaze at the empty pillow beside her with a cold, vicious stare, as if it were an enemy she was about to murder. Her breathing picked up again to a pace she couldn’t control. She couldn’t hold it anymore. So she screamed out. Not into the pillow this time, not while in the shower with the bathroom door closed. She screamed out so that the world could hear. It was ugly; it wasn’t classy like the dingy t-shirt she wore to bed, but it was her, raw and unfiltered. She grabbed the sheets on “his side of the bed” with a full fist and whispered with a tear.

Firebug: Ch. 33 - The Visitor
Theo could've been held like that for the rest of his natural life, and never wanted for anything more. Roman still loved him. He was over the moon by that knowledge. Still, there were a few things that unsettled him. Why had Mrs. Durant kept Theo's messages from Roman? Surely she meant no malicious intent. Roman was her son after all, and as far as she knew Theo was merely a schoolmate to Roman. She might've been trying to keep his mind off anything to do with Hill Academy, so he could focus on healing.

Firebug: Ch. 32 - Silver Linings
From the moment Roman woke up in the hospital, things had been... weird. Okay, weirder than usual. First of all, he expected Theo to be waiting at his bedside when he opened his eyes. But Theo wasn't there. Roman immediately assumed the worst, especially when he saw photos of what used to be Hill Academy's gym still circulating on the news. It took his mom a half hour to calm him down, and constant reassurance from her that Theo was still alive for him to believe it.
