It's Gonna Be Fine

When I was about ten I woke and believed my dad had died. I cried a lot but never told anyone why I was crying. If I went back and had a conversation with myself now I would try and tell myself everything was going to be fine and to just be myself and maybe apply myself better to my school work.

Me Now: "What's wrong, why are you crying?" (I know why)

Me Then: "I thought my dad was dead, I don't know why but it upset me"

Me Now: "Well I can put you right on that, he is going on way past his ninetieth birthday and going to do some amazing things"

Me Then: "How do you know? I know it was a dream but how can you know that?"

Me Now: "I don't yu if you believe me, but I am you from fifty seven years in the future"

Me Then: "I don't believe you, people over twenty are old, and decrepit when they are thirty, and you are sixty seven? I don't believe you"

Me Now: "Well I am and I am here to maybe give you a few pointers, although it's probably pointless, or not a good idea because if you do anything differently then I might not be here to tell you that everything is going to work out fine. I suggest you keep watch Doctor Who as that will keep you on track about time travel paradoxes"

Me Then: "So what is going to happen? Am I going to be alright , is my family going to be alright? Will Preston get promoted? Will I get a girlfriend"

Me Now: "That is a lot of questions. Shall we say that you are going to surn out fine, though you should take your schoolwork a bit more seriously, but you are going to work with computers. You have a very enquiring mind, or I do, and that will stay with you"

Me Then: "What about Preston?"

Me Now: "They will do Ok, they won't drop out of the league but will win a match at Wembley but I won;t say any more about that"

Me Then: "Will I get a girlfriend"

Me Now: "Most girls just see you as a friend, a very good friend. You will get married and have two daughters and eventually a granddaughter, so you will be and I am a granddad"

Me Then: "Will I be rich?"

Me Now: "No but you will be happy and that is far mor important, although money is good to have, You won't be poor. I must go now but you have a great future ahead of you so go back to sleep and enjoy life because good things are coming to you"
