Isolation
That Is Where I Am - From 2024 - No Change

Introduction
Something has happened today that has shown me I am really not rated as a creator.
The song is John Lennon's "Isolation"
"People Say We Got It Made,
Don't They know We're So Afraid?
Isolation"
What?
I can't say what, but I realise that I am going to have to find new places to share my work. I have left a couple of Facebook Groups because I was feeling overwhelmed and just there to make up the numbers.
I post less on Facebook because I now only have five or six regular readers. Posting on Twixster and threads does not generate reads as far as I can see, and even if I post in groups that I administer, they are usually ignored there.
So I need to strike out elsewhere and find people who may want to read my work.
Vocal themselves continually ignore my suggestions for improvements, and in turn, so do most Vocal Creators. I do have some good friends on Vocal and am grateful for their support. My problem is that many Vocal friends ignore all my work, even though I read and comment on theirs. Reciprocity is at an absolute premium.
I am writing this because if I don't, it will just annoy me. I know many people might unfriend me and unsubscribe from me because of this, but if I don't say this, then people will not know how I feel.
I know I often put myself down, but it seems that others are coming to the same conclusion about me.
Conclusion
I know how good I am, and I will continue to produce work and share on Vocal unless they block me for some reason. I am not going anywhere and I am confident in my own abilities.
Maybe I don't shout loud enough about how good I am, because no one else will publicly do so, but that is just me being an attention whore.
So I won't disappear, I will keep writing and posting, but every day I feel more isolated.
