Unknown

The silence around her heightened her thoughts as she strolled along the vacant road at 5 a.m. Her steps were slow and methodical, reflecting the weight in her heart.

She looked about at her surroundings, which were dimly lit and cast long shadows on the pavement from streetlamps. She sensed anarchy and turbulence inside, in stark contrast to the peacefulness of the early morning. The road's emptiness seemed to mirror how empty she felt on the inside.

She became fixated on the question, "What is she doing?" She was meant to clear her mind so that she wouldn't think about the same things again. Abigail shook her head, wiped away her tears, and inhaled deeply. She kept one foot in front of the other while listening to music through her headphones. The consistency of her steps provided some consolation.

She would normally be engaged with duties at this hour, but since her parents are not there today, she is free to go outside and get some fresh air.

As the sky gradually transformed from dark to light, she chose to return home and prepare breakfast rather than being late for school.

She could only buy noodles for herself. Her parents are not present, which is why the refrigerator is locked.

She finished her meal, got dressed for school, gathered her belongings, and began heading to school. It's only 15 minutes to her school. As she walked to school, Abigail reflected on her younger sister and the moments they had spent together.

Abigail arrived at school distracted and was greeted with the campus's familiar sounds and sights. She took a deep breath and prepared for the day, avoiding thoughts of her sister.

Abigail entered the corridor, took her belongings from her locker, and went inside the classroom. She greeted her friends as soon as she entered the classroom and sat next to one of them.

"Hey" They looked at Abigail as she greeted them, and one of them, Maya, said, "Hey, I hope you completed my homework."

"Ah, yeah, here it is." She explained she was handling Maya's assignments, which she had allocated to her.

"How terribly written is this? Don't make it this bad the next time. Maya commanded after checking her assignments.

"I'm sorry," Abigail said, wondering if she had done more harm than good by writing in a hurry to finish both Maya's and her own tasks. She was now dreading it because she had worked so hard on Maya's projects but was still disappointed with the results.

"You are forgiven, but watch out the next time," she remarked as she began conversing with her other partners.

Her friends are like this. She doesn't understand why they're treating her so harshly. Although she is somewhat terrified of them, there are times when she simply does not want to be with them because they always make her feel excluded. She is scared of her friends, which makes her feel extremely pathetic.

Until the teacher arrived and began her lectures, she waited there rereading her previous material.

She went to a restaurant after school to work instead of eating. She went to the kitchen after changing into her clothing. She never accepted inquiries from clients. She is simply skilled at cooking, which is what she does here to make a living.

After concluding her shift at work, she went home. The first thing she heard made her fearful since she knew what was waiting for her, but she stepped inside knowing she had to face it.

[IMPORTANT]

It's my first time writing. I used to write short stories but not so good. I wanted to write a book with the idea that is in my mind but I have no idea how to describe the words and feelings well like a good writer. I decided to start writing and leave the results to the end. It's the first chapter that I wrote but I'm not fully satisfied. I've noticed at lot of good writer in vocal app and decided to write here and ask any writer who will read my story and tell me where I need to improve and which sentence can replaced by what and so on. And this story still doesn't have any name.
