Introduction

I saw this image shared by The Enchanted Booklet and thought it was cute.

It made me think of "HooverCat", which visits every day for treats but runs away when I open the door.

Hoovercat

The music is "Cat Black (The Wizard's Hat)" by Tyranosaurus Rex

Black Cat Watches

You'll never get near him; he watches you through the long stalks of the leeks, waiting for you to provide him with his favourite treats. You close the door.

He eats.

Then he wanders off to stalk the birds, hiding in the undergrowth, waiting to pounce, and always missing his prey.

Tomorrow he will come back and glare until his dish is filled.

He is the black cat, distrustful of this human, but expecting the provision of goodies.

The black cat always watches, but there is never any contact.

Still, we do have a strange connection.
