Andromeda Banner: A Marvel Universe Story
Disclaimer Chapter
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the recognizable characters or plotlines throughout this story; I do however, own the character Andromeda, and all original plotlines. There will be song lyrics used throughout the story –not exactly sure where they’ll pop up- and I do not own those songs either… The lyrics are from songs that I listened to while writing and I placed those lyrics in the story as a way of thanking the artists for inspiring me… I am a lifelong Marvel fan; I believe I read my first Marvel Comic when I was around three years old, and I’ve been hooked ever since. This idea had been running through my head for a long time, and I tried to make my character’s place in the plotlines of Marvel conceivable. And I did my best to create a character of depth that is still a somewhat atypical teen. This story follows along the movies, starting with the first Avengers movie, and going from there. I am rating my own story as somewhere between ‘T’ for teens/ ‘M’ for Mature, because of some strong language, as well as strong themes that take place throughout… TW: This story deals with forms of abandonment, mentions of suicide, mentions of attempts at suicide, as well as countless mentions of death and murder… PTSD also plays a huge part in this story… Reader discretion is advised.
Character Description
Name: Andromeda Nova Banner
Signature: Andromeda Nova Banner
Age: 15, and counting
Appearance: Young, female version of my father Dr. Bruce Banner, with curly/ wavy, black hair and chocolate brown eyes.
Enhancements: Elemental Control caused by Gamma Radiation. The only limitations I’ve found are: The element must already be present (either within me, or around me) for me to use it, and as it stands, I can only use one element at any given time; I don’t know what would happen if I used more than one at once. My hair and eyes change color based on the element I’m using: Yellow for Air, Red for Fire, Blue for Water, Green for Earth, and Purple for Spirit (Don’t exactly know what happens when I tap into this element intentionally… I’ve been too afraid to use it.)
Bio: Born in 1997, on July 11th, on the 17th anniversary of the day Skylab crashed to earth. I was in my dad’s lab when the Gamma Incident happened... I was seven; Dad tried to stay around, but when I was thirteen, he decided it would be best for him to leave. When I was fourteen, he found a Veteran named Sam, and asked him to take me, because where he was going was too dangerous… I know he feels that he’s too dangerous for me to be around, and that’s another reason he left me behind. In the days before he left, something changed inside him… He went from extremely depressed to nearly happy in the span of two days… I’ve been suffering from nightmares and day-terrors about the incident, for the past few years, but I can’t talk to Dad about it because he thinks letters are too dangerous to send…. Anyway, living with Sam has been great; he’s an amazing guardian, and friend.
