Abaddon, known as the great prince of the bottomless pit, was the demon of pure destruction. He had a large army that had the appearance of locusts that would torment human souls that were thrown into hell. His throne was seated at the gateway to hell, and he made sure no one left after they came in. His wife, or consort, was Lilith and they had many children. Lilith was Adam's first wife before she became Abaddon's wife, or consort. They were very much in love and their relationship resulted in large demonic lineage. Their children were Asmodeous, Verrine, Amdecious, Beliel, Baal, Belphegore, and many others. They ruled the earth and hell as prince and princess of darkness, which means death and destruction. Death was the destruction of life.
Abaddon ruled with an iron hand. He was unmerciful towards the souls of hell and inflicted harsh and severe punishments towards them. He was greatly feared. Many punishments were handed down to the souls under his domain, which included but not limited to, the lake of fire, the bottomless pit, etc. He tormented the most evil of people. People were cast into hell for evil wrongdoings and they remained there for eternity. This included, but not limited to, rape, child abuse, blasphemy, murder, torture, kidnappings, etc.
While Abaddon was harsh, he was very just. He carried out punishments for good reasons, but never allowed the souls to be inflicted so much that it caused emotional distress. The souls grew used to their life in hell, and they came to accept it. They came to accept it because of their evil ways, and knew the end result was to be punished.
With Abaddon there was no rest. The souls were only given food or water if they truly needed it. While they were there for punishment, Abaddon took care of them. Though he was never kind or forgiving, he did make sure the souls got what they needed, if they needed anything.
Abaddon was honored by many. He was worshipped in such a way, it was honorable. His true children were dedicated to him, and honored him on a daily basis. He was honored by offerings such as self- sacrifice, blood, water, lit candles, poems.... to name a few. He was seen by many as malevolent, while others saw him as the divine judgement, carrying out God's will to punish those sent to hell for their immortal sins. There was no escaping hell.
Hell was a place of eternal fire, with pain and suffering. When people went there, things did not go well. People were thrown into the lake of fire and burned. They would be tossed into the bottomless pit to fall for all eternity, which is why it was called the bottomless pit. There was crying and gritting of teeth. There were many periods of intense fear and agony. People pleaded with Abaddon but he showed no mercy. People were not there to be pitied, but to suffer for what they had done in their previous lives.
Abaddon had many supernatural abilities. He could tempt people from far away without people seeing him. He was able to get inside your head and test you to see if you were vunerable to sin. He gave you a choice as to wrong or right, and never forced you against your will to commit sin. He was a sensitive deity, though very strict. He was also very demanding. He wanted his children to be exceptionally dedicated to him, no excuses. He would guide his children when they needed guidance or would ask for it, but they had to put the work into what they wanted themselves.
Abbadon was one of pride. He could be arrogant, but kind. He was a harsh and confident ruler, him and Lilith, and they were a pair.
