Once upon a time, in a remote village, there lived a lovely old couple. Unfortunately, they didn't have any children of their own. One sunny day, while they were busy planting potatoes in their field, they heard a strange sound. It was someone clicking their tongue in disapproval. Curious, they turned around and saw a mischievous monkey sitting on a tree, giving them disapproving looks. Confused, the old man asked the monkey, "What are you doing up there?" The monkey replied, "You're planting potatoes all wrong! If you want a bountiful harvest, let me show you the right way." The old couple eagerly asked, "How should we plant them then?" The monkey explained, "First, you need to boil the potatoes, then peel them and sprinkle some salt. After that, wrap them in banana leaves and bury them in the soil. Don't forget to mark each spot with sticks so you can remember later." Without a second thought, the old couple followed the monkey's advice and thanked him for his help.

A week passed, and the old couple decided to visit their field. To their shock, they found their potato plants destroyed. Frustrated, the old man exclaimed, "It's that monkey! I'll catch him and teach him a lesson!" Determined, they searched high and low, but the monkey was nowhere to be found. Finally, after much searching, they spotted the monkey sleeping on a tree in a forest.

Excitedly, the old couple came up with a plan. The old man said, "Wait here, my dear. I'll climb up the tree and push him down." The old woman agreed and said, "Make sure to tie him up properly so we can teach him a lesson." With determination, the old man climbed up the tree and pushed the monkey, only to realize it was her husband! Embarrassed, the old woman exclaimed, "Oh no! It's my husband!" The monkey laughed and said, "Haha! Next time, be careful who you trust."

It was a valuable lesson for the old couple. They realized that they had blindly trusted the monkey without thinking for themselves. From that day on, they became more cautious and thoughtful in their decisions.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I really appreciate it. Make sure to stay tuned because I'll be posting more exciting stories soon.
