The Daughter's Desolation
The unforgiving sun beat down on Eva's back as she trudged across the cracked earth. Her once vibrant green eyes, now dull with exhaustion, scanned the horizon for any sign of life. The once fertile fields of her village lay barren, ravaged by a relentless drought. Hunger gnawed at her stomach, a constant companion for weeks.

**The Day the Eagle Stole My Hot Dog** It was a perfect summer afternoon at the park, the kind where the sun glinted off the lake, and the smell of freshly cut grass mingled with the scent of sizzling hot dogs from the nearby vendor. My friends and I had gathered for our annual picnic, a cherished tradition since our high school days. We laid out our blankets, set up the grill, and unleashed an arsenal of snacks that would have fed a small army.

I Quit...
And She Died. Yes, She is No More. The only thing left with me is “regret of not reading the last line of her letter so initially” that could save her life by me. Writing what you feel is folded by two things of our life, firstly, if we started untrusting people the only option left with us with is writing what we feel or such things which we couldn’t share with anyone due to fear of our close ones traits on us or either being a joke in front of world, same things happen with me her as well. Secondly, happen with her….Be in the story…

Books by Filipino Authors for Young Readers
As being descendant of literature lovers, as well as the power of words to reshape the manner we think, I find it difficult to hide my admiration for the literature written by Filipino authors such as Gimo Jr. and the Aswang Clan that are treasures awaiting to be opened. Being in a world like today that representation signifies a lot, the voices - and the personal narratives - of these Filipino authors strike a chord with their young readers, as well. These narratives not only provide windows to the cultures of other people, but they also show mirrors, showing the experiences of the young people.
