Promoting My list of Books

It's very tragic that the American nation that was founding by highly educated people is now being governed by idiots who can barely even read the one book that matters and are now calling for a ban on books because it's "woke", it might "offend people or even upset people.

Newsflash you KKKonservative douchebags: banning books never worked and never made anyone look like the hero in any way, shape or form.

If anything, you right-wing scum, it's motivated people to want to read more from the books that you simply won't read, will make people want to read them more.

I personally cannot say how many books on the banned book list that I have read, but I fully support having those books removed from the banned book list.

Here are some books that I plan on promoting that you may/may not have read but are certainly worth reading (in my opinion).

All Quiet on The Western Front

While this book has not been banned in the United States of America (yet) it was however banned in Germany during the early days of the Third Reich, for it was seen as being in opposition to German rearmament.

The writer himself served in World War 1 (which is when the book takes place) on the German side. It gives a description of the mental and physical trauma of German soldiers fighting the “war to end all wars.”

The book in short promotes how futile war is and is the book anti-war types would want to read.

On the Origin of Species

I don’t think I have to really explain in depth as to why most “people” want to have this book banned, but I will post my reason for promoting this book.

The concept of Charles Darwin’s research as described in this book has to do with the concept of human evolution and how we humans came from Chimpanzees.

Problem today (as it was during Darwin's time) is that people still cling on to the insane belief that we humans were descended from two people (Adam and Eve) and the Earth is 6 to 10,000 years old.

This concept is known as Creationism, and it lacks any critical thinking skills whatsoever. That is why I am promoting this book.

The Communist Manifesto

Again, need I explain why this book would get banned?

Some people (mostly Conservatives) vilify the very notion of Communism yet haven't take the time to read this book and truly understand the real meaning of Communism.

If people actually bothered to read this book, they'd realized that what Marx interpreted in his works was about serving the interests of the workers, not the party system that was once the Soviet Union.

Legend of the Condor Heroes

For those of you who have seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and want some more action like that, look no further than this book.

It may not be a classic piece of Chinese literature, but after reading this book and the other three books in this series, you might think it's destined to be a classic.

The Analects

Consisting of a series of collected writings by students of the great sage, this book discusses proper form of governing honoring one's family, proper function in society while discussing cultural concepts, the importance of education and performing rituals

Granted it has been criticized by intellectuals of the government of the People's Republic of China the past for promoting a certain form of authoritarianism or even holding back progress during the Self-Strengthening Movement.

The teachings of the great sage himself still remains an important part of Chinese society.

Karate-Do: My Way of Life

The autobiography of the founder of Shotokan-Ryu and the man who pretty much made Karate-do know to all of Japan.

The book describes his early life in Okinawa to the establishment of his style of Karate-do.

A must read for those who wish to practice Karate-do.

The Bubishi

Those who practice swordplay read the Book of The Five Rings, this book is for any who practices Karate-Do like me or other styles of fighting like that of Karate-do.

The book describes the early founding's of how Karate-do was brought to Okinawa by Chinese masters, along with strategy, medicine, technique and philosophy of the martial arts.

It took over ten years for the author to study and research the sources in order to write this book and was considered "the Bible of Karate" by Sensei Chojun Miyagi, the founder of the Goju-ryu style of Karate-Do.

Fist of the North Star

After promoting the books that I wanted to promote, I also wanted to add in something of a comic or in this case manga.

The series takes place in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world where vicious gangs and cruel warlords reign supreme, while many innocents suffer, and few can resist.

Kenshiro, the main protagonist is the 64th master of Hokuto Shinken. While helping the innocents, he also fights other masters who have become cruel warlords themselves, when not fighting alongside other masters like him, that want to do defend the innocent.
