Conviction By Muddy Water

A Boy Becomes a Man

By Buck TaylorPublished 6 days ago 1 min read
This is how I have described my first novel, does it draw you in?

Every moment has a purpose in one boy’s life as he learns what it takes to be a man on his journey through life.

Grant Weston grew up in a small town along the Mississippi River in a loving blue collar family. As he reaches manhood and is without direction, he is urged to spread his wings in the world. Despite his fears of the unknown, Grant moves to a cattle ranch out west where he meets a woman that would ultimately steal his heart. Margot. Together they share experiences that bring them joy and lessons that bring them to their knees. Despite parting ways, their enduring bond reveals a love that lasts through tragedy and distance.

Eventually, Grant is brought to grips with another fateful twist that calls him back to his hometown. There he reflects on all the trials and experiences that made him into the man he is and brought his life full circle?

Conviction by Muddy Water is a riveting coming of age story that explores how to decide what life mean through lessons in hardship, resilience, and living without regrets.
