A trilogy

The trilogy, written by Lucy Score

Hello, my fellow Vocal Creators!

I'm back with another excellent reading opportunity for the summer. More precisely it's a trilogy, that I'm about to introduce to you, so you'll have one book for every month of this summer, if you decide to give it a go and order them. Plus I have a surprise in the end of this article, so make sure you stay with me all along this review. :)

First of all let's talk about the talented author of this series a little.

Lucy Score, the dreamer and creator of the trilogy's world

Lucy Score grew up in a literary family where the dinner table was for reading and earned a degree in journalism. Today she is a famous and successful New York Times bestselling author proving her incredible talent in writing.

Lucy writes full-time from the Pennsylvania home where she has a cat named Cleo. When not being busy for hours crafting heartbreaker heroes and kick-ass heroines, Lucy likes to spend time on the couch, in the kitchen, or at the gym.

In the future she hopes to write from a sailboat, oceanfront condo, or tropical island with reliable Wi-Fi.

Things We Never Got Over

I think the summary and some short quote from the book speaks for itself, so I'll just let you read these few lines, I found from the book.

The first part: Things We Never Got Over

Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon.

Knox doesn’t tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride.

Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, [...] a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way…with fists and beer. Usually in that order.

Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn’t know she had. Now she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.

There’s a reason Knox doesn’t do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out [...]. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.

At least, that’s the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.

Well, how do you like it so far? Did it catch your attention? Because it did mine! Personally I love these kind of romantic pieces and the only problem I have is that there are too many of them and I have way less money than what I could invest in them. But one thing is for sure. I have read a lot of them, and yet they never miss to surprise me.

And here's the big surprise: If you want to read the Kindle version of this amazing book, you do have the chance to get it for free! You heard me right, if you are signed up and subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, the access to this book costs nothing!

But don't worry even if you're not a member of this program, because you can still get the online Kindle edition for $5.99, which is quite an affordable price I think.

But you also have the opportunity to listen it on Audible for completely free again!

If you do not prefer reading, you can easily listen the audio book with a membership.

However if you're more traditional than that, and want to get an offline, Paperback of this book, it is also possible and you only have to pay $11.20, that is also a doable and friendly price for such an impressive book.

And last but not least if you're an obsessed reader, and do not mind spending money on your precious readings, you can buy the Hardcover version too for $26.99.

And that's all I planned to share today. If you liked this book review, please leave a tip, a like and a comment. Also, let me know if you want me to write a summary of the other two parts of this summer trilogy. Subscribe for more content like this, and read my work too!

If you're still reading, thanks for staying and reading, and have a wonderful day y'all! <3

Great recommendations! Even though I'm not a romance reader, it does look good.

  • I used to be into romance, but not anymore. If you like these kinda stories, then you'd definitely like this trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han.

Well it sounds like she crafted the book from her life alone with her cat! Does sound like a good read, thanks for sharing!!
