The story begins when Ole kaelo,the wife and his two daughters leave Nakuru an urban town to a rural maasai land,a place called Nasila.

On reaching Nasila,they are welcomed by their uncle simiren who had four wive ans sixteen children.In a move towards settling in Nasila Ole Kaelo visits an old friend ole supeyo...During the homecoming ceremony,the daughters observed thatyoung men are suspicious of them as they were not circumcised.In an attempt to acquint the two girls with Nasila culture,ole kaelo informs Parmuat to teach them traditional songs and dances.As the young ones spend time together,a love relationship begins to develop between the eldest daughter and Parmuat unfortunately due to cultural demanda the relationship is restrained....culture discriminated the two girls for their failure to undergo the cultural rite of passage.In an incident of near rape the girls discovered that Female Genital Mutilation was as a result of oppresion of men and women used it as a solution to defend themselves...

Ole kaelo opens uo an agricultural bussiness kniown as the agribix limited with the help of a friend Oloisudori....Olosudori in return was to marry Resian,the ole kaelos youngest daughter....Ole kaelo was left in a dillema since he had a bussines to protect and daughters to keep safe and retain their trust...Olosudori was soo persistent with thw fact that he wanted to marry Resian.Ole kaelo detested Resian and loved Taiyo most...Resian was the sulky type and stubborn in nature...All she ever dreamed of is being a veterinary doctor...Her constant reminders to her father about his agreement to take them back to nakuru and enroll them at the egerton university made his dad detest her even more.........To be Continued
