Who All Got Jennifer Lopez’s Love Before Ben Affleck? Know All About Her Previous Relationships!

After Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially said “I do,” we are taking a look back at the gorgeous singer’s most high-profile relationships and marriages.

Here is everything to know about everyone who once had J.Lo’s love.

Alex Rodriguez

Lopez and Rodriguez began their relationship in March 2017. Apparently, they were really into each other because they had so much in common, from their Latin roots to their love of New York and their kids.

A former Yankee confirmed their romance in a segment during an appearance on “The View” that same month. They also had their very first public appearance together at the Lakers game.

Rodriguez proposed to his girlfriend on a luxurious vacation in March 2019. However, the couple did not walk down the aisle after following rumors that Rodriguez was communicating with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy.

A former Playboy playmate confirmed that Rodriguez begged her for a threesome shortly before he proposed to Lopez. Baseball player Jose Canseco alleged that Rodriguez had an affair with his ex-wife, Jessica.

The couple ended their engagement in March 2021.

Drake

JLo and Drake were linked for just a few months in 2016, but experts in the industry were skeptical about the connection between the two PR-savvy pros.

“This relationship is fake; it is just a publicity stunt to publicize their record together,” one source said. “If Jennifer and Drake were really dating, they’d be way more private about it.”

“Doesn’t Drake realize that it looks weird to declare his love for RiRi at the MTV awards, then start flaunting his chemistry with J.Lo a few months later?” The source also spoke of Drake’s heartfelt dedication to Rihanna during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

Casper Smart

They separated in 2014 after reports suggested that Smart was apparently sexting with two trans models. They reunited in 2015 but broke things off for good in the year 2016.

Marc Anthony

Lopez’s romantic whirlwind relationship with her fellow Latin music star Marc Anthony began in September 2003. The couple got married in June 2004, just one week after his divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres was finalized.

The couple welcomed twins Max and Emme In 2008 and then ended things in 2011.

Lopez said that collaborating on their 2017 Spanish-language album “Por Primera Vez” “actually kind of repaired certain parts of our relationship that had been fractured from our marriage and our divorce.”

Ben Affleck

The Justice League star and Lopez — famously nicknamed “Bennifer” by the press — met while filming “Gigli” in 2001 while Lopez was still in the process of getting married to Cris Judd. Affleck and Lopez became engaged in November 2002, but the couple called off their wedding two days before the event and later split up in January 2004.

Lopez later claimed that Affleck was her first big heartbreak, but the couple later rekindled their relationship.

The couple was fully back together after pictures of them snuggling during a date surfaced in June 2021.

They continued to be in a serious relationship for several months before he again declared that the couple was engaged on April 20, 2022.

Lopez and Affleck have officially confirmed they have said “I do” in the July 17 edition of her “On The JLo” newsletter.

“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” she wrote of the Las Vegas ceremony, noting it was “exactly what we wanted.”

The “Marry Me” actress also said she wore “a dress from an old movie” as they exchanged vows in the “little chapel” and “gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”

Cris Judd

Lopez’s second marriage was to choreographer and dancer Cris Judd. They both first met in Spain in late 2000 when he was hired to direct her music video for “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and were married in September 2001. The couple split in June 2002.

“Your privacy is breached,” Judd later said of the relationship. “You’re no longer a normal person. [Our wedding] was a circus. I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain … trying to sneak in. We actually rented the airspace.”

Diddy

They were perhaps the power couple in the music industry for the very limited period between 1999 and 2001. However, relationships between Lopez as well as Sean “Diddy” Combs -who was then still known as Puff Daddy — was both marred by allegations of infidelity by Combs and dragged into the courts with a weapons-and-bribery trial in connection with December 1999 shooting at Club New York. (A jury eventually acquitted him.)

The fact that none of this stopped Combs from comparing their relationship to two other famous couples: Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra and Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe.

Ojani Noa

Lopez married her first husband, Cuban waiter Ojani Noa in February 1997 after meeting in Miami while she was filming “Blood and Wine.”

Their wedding was over just after 11 months, in January 1998. However, it did not hinder Noa from shopping an alleged honeymoon sex tape around.

It was not released; however, Noa finally received his screen appearance on the episode in 2016 in the show “Million Dollar Matchmaker.”
