Hey guys! my name is Lainey and I have a passion for the beauty and wellness industry. I am a qualified Beauty Therapist with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Diploma in Remedial Massage and Deep Tissue Massage, Diploma of Kinesiology and Reflexology and 16 years experience in the industry!

I thought it would be fun to write a weekly review of some of my favourite beauty products to maybe help or inspire you to try some of them for yourself!

It's no secret that Beauty and Wellness are HUGE industries and there are so many products on the market that it can get confusing. What I like to do is bring it back to basics, bring it back down to the ingredients and the benefits and actions that those ingredients have on our actual skin cells.

This week, for my first review I'm going to be talking about a beautiful new bath product that was released from L'Occitane a couple of months ago. For those of you that don't know, L'Occitane is an international beauty company with most of their products being made in Provence in the South of France. They pride themselves on being a natural based company with wonderful ethics and community initiatives like Empowering Women in Burkina Faso (Shea Butter Range) and improving avoidable blindness in children around the world with the profits of sales from their Solidarity products going to UNICEF. They also have a wonderful recycling program where customers bring back their empty beauty products and L'Occitane sends them off to Teracycle to make sure that every bit of the containers are recycled properly, plus you, the customer, get 10% off your next purchase in a L'Occitane boutique - pretty amazing and some great reasons to shop with them - not to mention their products are actually divine as well...bonus!

The product in this review is called Amande Milky Bath, a relaxing and beautifying bath soak made with almond milk. Now I have to say that I consider myself to be a bit of a bath product connoisseur, albeit I'll go as far to say, a bath product snob, so this product is right up my alley!

If it was good enough for Cleopatra it's good enough for me! Almond Milk Bath, L'Occitane

It is enriched with a hint of bergamot and of course sweet almond oil from Provence (yes, another initiative! L'Occitane have replanted almond trees all over Provence and take the actual almonds they have helped grow and use them in their products - love a traceable beauty product!). The silky texture of the almond milk mixes with the water to create a heavenly, spa like experience right in your own bathtub, I'm telling you, you won't want to come out!

Almond oil has amazing benefits for the skin. It is super emollient meaning it can help balance the absorption of moisture and water loss, it's very hydrating, firming and makes the skin feel luxuriously soft. Almond oil naturally contains fatty acids, vitamin E, vitamin A, potassium, zinc and proteins so contains all the nutrients your skin needs to repair and thrive! Even after one soak in this beautiful, sensual milk will leave your skin baby soft and if you're like me, you may not even have to moisturise afterwards, although the smell is so addictive you will more than likely want to follow up with the matching Almond Milk Concentrate body cream so you can slink into your pyjamas and jump into bed knowing you've indulged in a bit of self care and pampering....and let's face it, who doesn't deserve that!

All in all this product is an absolute gem! Honestly I truly recommend it for your next spa at home bathing experience and I'm sure like me, one use and you'll be addicted!

10 out 10 almond nuts!
