Which cosmetic ingredients are bad for your skin

You still have to pay attention to:

Phthalates

Phthalates are a class of compounds commonly found in softened plastics. They are also used as softeners in skin care products. The most common type of phthalate in skin care products is diethyl phthalate (DEP). DEP helps products such as moisturizing creams and lotions penetrate the skin better. Phthalates are given as endocrine disruptors. This means that in the body, they may interfere with the normal functioning of hormones.

alcohol

Alcohol is used in many skin care products for different purposes. It can be used as a food preservative or to help products dry quickly on the skin. In products such as moisturizers and cleansers, it is used to help tighten the skin and reduce the occurrence of skin pores. Different kinds of alcohol used in skin care products. Alcohols such as ethyl acetate, acetone and propanol are transalcoholic alcohols and have the strongest stimulating effect on the skin. This type of alcohol is commonly found in lotions, soaps and body washes. They are usually very irritating and dry to your skin. If used frequently, this alcohol is likely to damage the skin's climate and prevent it from retaining moisture.

Sodium bisulfate

A common ingredient is sodium bisulfate found in deodorants, primarily as a sweat suppressant.

Its purpose is to deliberately block skin pores and prevent you from sweating. This is actually not a natural process, since it is also how endotoxins are released from the body. Studies have linked it to breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, diffuse bone damage and iron deficiency anemia.

Polyethylene glycol (peg)

Usually labeled PEG or polyethylene glycol. General data are closely related to PEG - for example, PEG 40 is included in hydrogenated castor oil. From the skincare makers' point of view, PEG is one of the hottest ingredients because of its low cost and effective use as a solvent, mixing raw oils with water and using them in products such as face sprays, body sprays and shampoos.

This probably sounds harmless to begin with, but polyethylene glycol ranks high on my list of hazardous ingredients because of the residue left behind by the application of an ingredient called 1, 4-dioxane in the manufacture and separation of the PEG, which is then mixed into the final product. If the organic solvent is not properly removed or cleaned, it is a known carcinogen.

P-hydroxybenzoate

Parabens penetrate the skin very easily and are thought to be endocrine disruptors, just as chemical sunscreens mimic estrogen. Parabens can be found in needle biopsies of body thoracic organs, and are proposed to prevent the use of skin care products with these ingredients.

Mineral oil

Mineral oils are mainly derived from liquid crude oil and are obtained by various organic chemical methods using organic solvents. Many of these organic solvents are thought to be carcinogens. Among other things, the oil can cause itching and burning as well as rashes and breakouts.

While many skin-care manufacturers have eliminated some of these ingredients, most of them are still found in People's Daily skin care products. As a customer, you must open your eyes and switch to a more reliable selection of pure plant ingredients.
