Are you thinking about getting some work done on your eyebrows? This is a very serious beauty issue for many women. The procedure is safe and its effectiveness well attested. The point is to make your eyebrows look much fuller and thicker. Here are a few things that you need to know about the microblading procedure.

What is the Microblading Procedure Used For?

This is a procedure that makes use of a special microblading eyebrows machine. It's a form of cosmetic tattooing that gives you the look of fuller, more lively eyebrows. Since it is tattooing, the effect it creates will be permanent. This procedure is also known to some as micro stroking or 3-D eyebrow embroidery.

You may be a candidate for microblading if you have been losing an excessive amount of hair from your eyebrows. This may occur due to a number of causes. These may include vitiligo, chemotherapy, hyperthyroidism, or simply plucking them too often. Whatever the reason may be, microblading is an effective cure.

Microblading is a Form of Skin Tattooing

As noted above, you should be aware that microblading is a form of tattooing. This is done for the cosmetic purpose of making your eyebrows look fuller. Since this is a tattoo process, there will be a number of tiny cuts that are made in your skin. This will be done to let the ink sink in to fill in your eyebrows.

Your physician will consult with you before the process begins so that you know exactly what to expect. They will also do initial research to make sure that you will not have any adverse side effects due to this procedure. Once you are cleared to receive microblading, you can schedule an appointment to undergo it.

What is the Healing Process for Microblading?

You should be aware that the healing process for the microblading procedure lasts nearly a month on average. It begins directly after you undergo the process and will continue for 20 to 25 days. This means that you may need to set aside a few days directly afterward to let the healing process can safely begin.

During the first 1 to 3 days, your eyebrows will immediately start to look much fuller and healthier. However, there will be a certain amount of discomfort. This is due to the fact that you have just undergone a major tattooing process. Your face may feel cut up, tender, and raw. This pain is merely temporary.

During days 3 to 5, your eyebrows will appear to be very much darker than they normally are. They will also begin to flake and detach. Your eyebrows will scab over. At this point, you will experience quite a bit of itchiness and possibly some swelling. This is normal because it marks the start of the healing process.

During days 5 to 8, the flaking will continue. The unnaturally dark color of your eyebrows will begin to fade and slowly return to normal. You will need to resist the temptation to scratch. This can result in damage to your eyebrows as well as the pigment It's always best to let them flake off in their own time.

During days 8 to 12, the flaking will come to an end. The natural color of your eyebrows should be restored by this time.

During days 12 to 21, both the texture and color of your eyebrows should be restored to normal. The texture of your eyebrows will be healthy and full. Each individual hair will be more naturally defined.

During days 21 to 30, the healing process will be complete. All of the pain, itching, flaking and other forms of discomfort you have experienced should be at an end. Your eyebrows should look completely full and natural. You will need to see your doctor for a checkup in a month or so.

Is Microblading the Right Procedure for You?

There are a number of questions that you will need to ask your practitioner before you agree to the microblading process. First and foremost should be the question of whether this procedure is right for you. If there are no other or better alternatives, this may be the treatment that fulfills all of your needs.
