Spending too much money on expensive shampoo and oil but not getting the result that you hope?

We usually see tv ads flaunting shiny and strong hair, these ads are made to attract the audience to their products. Not every person has strong and silky hair since childhood.

If you are not on a healthy diet or if you use hair products that are not meant for your hair type. Then your hair can become dry and frizzy.

Instead of only spending so much money on hair products, hair spas, saloons, and therapies; you should follow some simple tips to get strong and shiny hair.

Know Your Hair

Before choosing the shampoo and oil, you need to know about those individual needs, which depends on:

Type and texture of your hair.

Ingredients in your hair product.

Level of activity of yours.

It means people who have oily scalp need to shampoo twice a week, and those who have dry scalp need to shampoo once a week.

Choose a Good Shampoo

Try to avoid shampoos with harsh ingredients, such as ammonium lauryl sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate.

There are three types of hair such as- oily, normal, and dry.

So, choose your hair products according to your hair type.

Wash your Hair with Cold Water

Always wash your hair with cold water.

According to Dr. Suttar

"Skip hot water showers, because hot water will make your hair dry and brittle as it strips protective oils from your hair".

Washing hair with hot water opens up the hair cuticle, on the opposite cool water helps secure your hair’s cuticles and helps prevent the loss of moisture from your hair.

An ideal frequency of hair washing is two to three times a week. Washing your hair more than that can make it rough, dry, and lifeless.

Avoid Heat Appliances and Treatments

Hair appliances that use heat can smoothen your hair smooth for some time but may cause harm in the longer run.

But if you want to use it on some occasion, add a healthy coating of hair serum before you touch your hair with the wand. Hair serum can protect your hair from damage to some extent.

Treat Your Hair with Hot Oil Massage

Oil massages help relieve tension and promote blood circulation to the scalp.

Treat yourself to a hot oil massage at least once a week. Oil massages with natural oils help add extra shine to your hair by restoring moisture in it. Hot oil massage can nurture your hairs as below:

1. Nourish your hair

2. Promote healthy hair growth

3. Avoid hair breakage

4. Repair split ends

5. Prevent any further damage to your hair

Here is all you need to do for a hot oil treatment:

1. Take about two to three spoons of any oil of your choice and make It warm

2. Massage your hair in circular motions from root to the entire length till the end

3. Let the oil sit and leave it on overnight

4. Rinse it off in the morning with cold or lukewarm water

Choose The Right Diet

A well-balanced diet helps your hair to be strong and healthy. Adding a good amount of protein to your regular diet should be the first step as hair is made up of a protein called keratin.

"Consider a diet full of vitamin A, vitamin C, silica, and omega-3 fatty acids to support shiny hair growth," advises Dr. Belkin.

Conclusion

To achieve your dream hair, you need to maintain a hair care routine. Keep a few things in mind, a hair care routine will go a long way in delivering you with the hair of your dreams.

But with constant care and protection, achieving healthy hair is not that difficult.
