Let's be real for a second, we all have damaged hair. To an extent. Or at least we've all had issues in the past. Whether it's dry, oily, breakage, thin hair, split ends, and maybe even scalp issues, we've all been there.

So here are three hair masks that are simple, natural, and something you can make with things already in your house or for a low cost.

1.) Tea Hair Soak

Tea is one of those staples in life everyone needs. Not only does it have a variety of health benefits, but it comes in handy in the beauty world as well.

It can strengthen, reduce the chance of hair loss, reduce dandruff, shine, and moisturize hair as well! Each type of tea has its own benefit as well. Here are just a few selections:

  • Green Tea - Promotes hair growth and provides a nice shine!
  • Black Tea - Gives a nice shine but also helps with frizz and hydration.
  • Chamomile - Hydrates but also can lighten hair over time as well.

Simply brew each tea like you would normally, let it cool, and you can spray it on damp or dry hair in a spray bottle or simple pour over your head as well. It works best if it can soak in for at least 15 minutes, but the longer it's on, the more effective it is!

Feel free to add more ingredients as well! Honey is common to stir in while tea is hot, as well as lemon or even coconut oil.

2.) Coconut Oil Mask

Coconut oil was a huge trend a couple years ago, and those who jumped on the bandwagon most likely still use it this day because it does so many things for you! From food, to skin care, to beauty products, coconut oil is a must have in your life, especially for your hair!

Here are just some of the things it can do for your hair:

  • Stimulates hair growth.
  • Adds shine and strengths hair.
  • Prevents breakage.
  • Hydrates hair and will leave you with soft, supple hair.
  • Helps keep your scalp healthy, helping with bug bites, dandruff, and even lice.

There are plenty of ways to wear this mask. You can heat it up and make it a hot oil treatment, or leave it in its natural state and simply run it through your hair—wet or dry. You can sleep with it in overnight if you're feeling crazy, or even use it after the shower with damp hair—though don't put too much or your hair is going to look super oily.

Just wash it out in the shower with shampoo and conditioner and you're good to go!

3.) Honey Mask

Last but certainly not least, honey! Oh sweet, sweet honey. So useful in everyday cooking, but works wonders on your hair as well.

It strengthens amazingly well, preventing breakage and damage. This provides a deep moisturizer that will leave hair supple and soft, but shiny as well.

Simply put it in warm water, mix well, and pour over hair. You can spray it in a bottle and leave on your hair for a few hours, or pour over your head before shampoo and conditioner and just leave on for a few minutes.

With all of these masks, it's best to leave on longer so it really soaks into your hair and you get the best results possible. As well as using them regularly, avoiding heat and different chemical products in your hair and constantly tying your hair in a ponytail will help your hair greatly!
