Oil is essential for hair maintenance and health. The oil is beneficial for the scalp. When you gently massage your scalp, it can help promote hair growth and reduce hair fall. Coconut oil, almond oil, castor oil, onion oil and alma oil are the best oils for your hair and scalp. There is no doubt that applying hair oil is a blanket solution for everything from hair loss to damaged ends to stress relief. Whether you read about it online or heard it from your grandma or mom, it's true.

If you have hair loss problem, stay away from oil. Just like good nutrition and diet, the oil strengthens the roots and prevents your hair from falling out. If the hair is already falling, there is no need to apply oil. Instead, use a hair pack of curd, soaked fenugreek and kalonji seeds. Or beat an egg and add butter or banana. Apply it on the scalp and wash off after 20 minutes. If your hair falls out due to dehydrated, dry scalp hair, your hair needs oil. But not for anything and everything.

Do not use too much oil :

Are you using too much oil on your hair? Add more where you think your hair needs more oil and massage in deeply, starting with the palms. The more oil you use, the harder it is to wash. So the more shampoo you use, the worse it will be for your hair.

Who does not use oil? :

People with oily scalp should not use oil. Because oily hair and oily scalp are not a good combination. However, even if you have dry hair and an oily scalp, applying oil will not help as it will clog your pores further. Instead, you can soothe your scalp and soften your hair with aloe Vera gel.

Do not leave the oil on your scalp overnight :

Although it is said that it is good to rub the oil on the scalp, don't do it. It is best to oil your hair during the day with a warm oil suitable for your hair type and season. Overnight oiling can leave your hair dusty and weak. You should avoid using the oil after meals or after sunset. Because hair follicles naturally close at the end of the day, and the oil doesn't metabolize or absorb well. Also, you may suffer from allergies, colds, cough, asthma, sinusitis, neck pain or stiff neck. It is better to avoid oiling your hair/scalp overnight.

People with dandruff should avoid :

This may come as a shock to you. But you have to believe this. Do not apply oil on the scalp when you have dandruff. Instead, use aloe Vera gel, neem leaves or neem oil to clean your scalp.

Hair fall problem :

If you have hair loss problem, stay away from oil. Just like good nutrition and diet, the oil strengthens the roots and prevents your hair from falling out. If the hair is already falling, there is no need to apply oil. Instead, use a hair pack of curd, soaked fenugreek and kalonji seeds. Or beat an egg and add butter or banana. Apply it on the scalp and wash off after 20 minutes. If your hair falls out due to dehydrated, dry scalp hair, your hair needs oil. But not for anything and everything.

Multan Benefits for hair :

Multan clams have been used in Indian households for years. Most popularly known, Multan mussel is used for its cooling effect and to beautify or nourish our skin. But a lesser known fact is that Multan clams are also good for our hair and can act as a shampoo. Multan Matti is also known as Fuller's Earth. It is a clay-like substance. It is known to absorb dirt and oil well. This makes it a great cleanser for people with oily hair.

Multan clams have the ability to hydrate your scalp. It stops the secretion of natural oils from our scalp and is great for killing any bacterial growth or dandruff. A 2015 study also states that Multan clams act as a purifying agent by removing chemicals from your hair.
